That porn noise prank on the football

Yes it was kind of funny, and horrifying, I laughed, but I was very relieved that my kids weren't watching at the time.

Anyway, 'd'h didn't see it either, but has obviously heard about it on social media etc today and knows exactly what it was all about. Well he's just come across it (no pun intended) on YouTube on the family TV in the living room, amongst his usual searches for football clips, and I was hoping he'd quickly flick past it as the kids are sitting there too. But oh no, he says "oh, this'll be funny, I haven't seen it yet" and starts playing the clip. I told him to turn it off straight away and he just went, "it's only noises, it's funny!" Ok then, you explain porn and orgasms to your children, go ahead. FFS. I told him he's out of order and I'm really annoyed at him, as I am 99% of the time actually, as you might already know if you've read any of my other posts.

Anyway, AIBU to be upset that he's thinks it's fine to play porn sounds in front of the kids on purpose? Last night it was one of those moments you couldn't have expected or escaped from very easily, but this was intentionally playing the clip which he could easily have watched in private later on. DS15 may very well know about this kind of thing, but would be super embarrassed to be stuck there with his dad voluntarily playing the clip, and DS11, well I just want to shelter him a bit longer. To me he's just thick and I'm sick of him.

Well he did a terrible job!

Obvs quite rudimentary set up, but that is what he wanted to be broadcast. He thought it would sound more like a woman having an orgasm. Does that honestly not trouble you?

"I think it’s very weird of him to knowingly play porn sounds in front of his children! He didn’t know what it sounded like before playing it, he didn’t know how graphic it was (or wasn’t) !"

He knew exactly what it sounded like when he strapped that phone there and played it. He intended to play that exact clip over and over.

I think you're each talking about different people

How do we know that's what the prankster intended? It would still be classed as a prank if it was a crying baby.

I wouldn’t be worried about having to explain porn or orgasms to your children but I think it’s very weird of him to knowingly play porn sounds in front of his children! He didn’t know what it sounded like before playing it, he didn’t know how graphic it was (or wasn’t) ! Fair enough to the people’s who’s children heard it by accident no one could’ve suspected that but I don’t think you should knowingly subject people to listening to porn, particularly children!

Exactly

BertaHoon · 18/01/2023 22:25

Try driving home with your Nan on a Sunday when L'il Louis French Kiss was being played in the top 10.

Weddi · 18/01/2023 22:25

See, if they were little, it could have been brushed off as a donkey or whatever

A donkey 😂😂😂😂 Killer!

I hate to break this to you but the 11 year old knows what sex is.

It would be yes. But he didn’t send a crying baby noise, he sent what was supposed to be the sound of a woman having sex. He did that deliberately, that is the point.

Donna Summer’s record “ Love to love ?” was far more cringe when it came on the radio when I was a kid.

Mum would turn it off with a snap.

You can’t be forgetting the chart hit “Horny”

Personal highlight was my sister dancing around shouting “I’m horny, horny horny horny, so horny, I’m horny horny horny tonight” when she was about 6.

Rebel2023 · 18/01/2023 22:30

It's the really common porn noise
Has nobody else had it where a friend links what looks like a boring video, you click it and the same noise comes up so you're stabbing at your phone trying to turn it off, or seen the videos of the same? They're all over social media

19Bears · 18/01/2023 22:32

Yes, this is exactly my point @Aloezebra If the kids had heard it last night when it went out live without warning, fair enough, I would have dealt with it there and then. Fortunately I got away with having to do that. But tonight, dh, knowing fine well that it was a porn clip, chose to play it when the kids were right in front of the TV. That's what I didn't like. He chose to watch it knowing it was porn based, whether it sounded like a woman, a donkey, a baby, whatever.

I’m talking about the OP’s husband playing it in front of her children? I know the person who strapped the phone to the set knew what he was doing, that was the whole point of doing it

Rebel2023 · 18/01/2023 22:32

WARNING contains the same noise

And here, on the news

GoingtotheWinchester · 18/01/2023 22:34

I thought you were going to say your kids were under 6 😂. I think you’re massively over reacting but you clearly don’t like your husband ☹️.

Aloezebra · 18/01/2023 22:34

@19Bears yeah you’re definitely NBU, I haven’t read your other posts but it’s weird and a bit gross to purposely subject children to porn, even if it is “just the noises”. Issues of consent come into it as well imo

My DM was like this about my DB regarding a contraceptive chat at age 15, it was “my baby would never know such things”

He most definitely did and was already a few girlfriends in at this point 😂

megletthesecond · 18/01/2023 22:38

I thought it was a donkey. 16yo DS thought it was a vuvuzela.
I told him afterwards (when I found out) so he didn't put his foot in it with his mates.
Every day's a school day.....

Chibbers · 18/01/2023 22:38

I thought it was hilarious.
Come on OP, your kids aren't exactly toddlers.
Even if they were toddlers and saw the clip you could just say it was a daft man pretending to be a donkey.

20 or 30 years, hard-core porn being broadcast on prime time BBC1 would have been a national scandal, heads would literally have rolled. Nowadays it's supposed to be funny.

I mis heard that as “ Honey honey honey!”
Truly didn’t know it was “ Horny”😂

It’s hardly hard core porn- More like a neighbour’s Labradoodle left to whine .

ScreamingBeans · 18/01/2023 22:44

Porn's become so depressingly mainstream.

And the fact you think hard core is a whole other level from what was played illustrates @Florenz point and how desensitised people have become.
