I had a lot of old documents, newspapers, brochures etc, just clutter and I was smoking on my side verandah and decided, why not burn it all? 🤔 So I put a big pile on a metal chair, and started lighting it all. Unfortunately some of it fell on the timber floor of the verandah and burnt a hole (approx 1 to 1 and a half feet wide) on the floor. It's an old wooden house. I had a lot of explaining to do to my parents the next day. And getting the hole filled in. What a stupid thing to do. I could have set the whole house alight. 😒

My friend accidentally set me on fire (we were doing those shots that you light on fire). It went all the way up my arm, across my chest and down my other arm.

Its not ok to drink yourself into stupidity, and fishing around to collect stories of other people doing it might help you convince yourself that it is ok really, but all you are doing is normalising some pretty pathetic irresponsible and immature behaviour, normally at someone elses expense

Went home with someone I didn't know and got sexually assaulted.

And I'm not victim blaming myself: the reason that it was stupid was because peolple who I stupidly thought were my friends encouraged me to go home with him. I should have realised, even when plastered, that those people did not care about me at all.

Fucked an on-duty policeman in his car when I was 18 and he was old enough to be my dad. I guess it wasn't really stupid of me as I wouldn't be the one in trouble, stupid for him though.

Made myself a cooked breakfast to eat in the morning to 'save time'.
Allowed a man I didn't know to buy me a drink.

Far worse things than throwing up in a Bush!
I couldn't (even anonymously) admit to some of the stupid things I have done.
I have done the throwing up outside a moving taxi window and the endless one night stands with men I barely remember.
I'm not sure I would change anything though, definitely some good times and great memories!

Drunkenly confessed my love for someone whom I did not love (in that way) and turns out they did feel that way about me and we're ecstatic to hear my drunk affections for them. Worst mess I've ever landed myself in. Now I warn people ahead of time that drunk me loves everyone!

Lost my house keys but bizarrely had my car keys on me so opted to sleep in my car parked on the street outside (I did not drive it!). My neighbour at 3am heard me faffing about closing the car door and called the police who found me snoring sprawled across the back seat. Was breathalyzed, arrested for being drunk in charge and spent a night in the cells. Spent the next few months in court fighting the charges.

The most annoying thing was finding my house keys in my coat pocket after I had been released from the police station the next day.

Very tame thread for what I was expecting.

The worst was definitely when I had sex with someone I'd know about 10 minutes at a party, upstairs. After he finished he left me there. It was about 18 years ago and I can still remember how ashamed I felt afterwards, going downstairs to face my friends and his at the party.

I had collapsed in the toilet at a club, got escorted out and into a taxi, then got home and threw up off the balcony of the flat I lived it at uni. I was on the 3rd floor.

Drunk dialled and drunk text, including my boss.

Threw up in front of my MIL.

I'm afraid to say the last one was just this weekend 😬

Loads of stuff, but the one that springs to mind is pouring myself a large glass of port as a night cap whilst already fairly sozzled. And then another. 🤢 such a bad hangover.

I am so ashamed. I barely drink now and can't get over some of the states I was in and dangerous situations I put myself in! Lots of men I didn't know. Blacking out and waking up in a graveyard miles from home. Still don't know how I got there! All in the past now and I dread my daughters growing up. Hopefully they will be more sensible!
