Following on from the thread “What makes you jealous of others?” (I had plenty!) How about this instead. Reading what some people were jealous of made me actually feel quite lucky! So I’ll go first… this isn’t a boast but surely it’s nice to look at what we love about ourselves.. might give me a little evening boost to hear yours too…

-I have been told I am quite attractive and definitely get a lot of attention from the opposite sex. It’s taken me a long time to accept (especially after being cheated on and bullied at school) but finally I have noticed the attention and can accept that I’m pretty.
-I can sing. I don’t often in front of people but have been told previously that I have a lovely voice and it’s my favorite thing to do.. am just not confident enough to do it publicly that often!
-I have a good figure… I don’t restrict my diet or exercise much (although I’ve just started to for MH reasons more than anything plus I have a heart issue) but am a size 8 and quickly was after I had my son.
-I have a very supporting and loving husband and feel grateful for that every single day.

Your turn…

I have everything I need and want for nothing. I'm not grateful for that, why should I be grateful? To whom should I be grateful? I deserve everything I've got because I worked hard to get it, none of it happened by accident or was given to me. Actually, I was given a very solid foundation by loving parents. My mum is amazing. I have always had good self esteem and always been content. My mum described me as a child as content, stoic, fearless. Nothing phases me, I just get on with things. I have a loving husband, great friends, a job I love, ds's who although I found difficult have turned into nice young men. I'm proud of the parenting job I did. I like going for long weekends away to European cities, I love meeting with the girls for curry and wine. I find other peoples anxiety and negativity irritating. I am wierd and geeky and can be abrasive but I like me, and I'd be friends with me because I think I make a great friend. I'm good enough.

I am so grateful for my husband. I love him so much. He’s my best friend. I remind myself all the time how lucky I am to have a such a wonderful marriage.

I've not had the best of lives but I am proud of myself for picking up the pieces every single time. I have worked incredibly hard to get to where I am in my career, I am respected by my peers and consulted on decisions due to my experience. I bought my first house last year and still pinch myself. I have 3 nieces, good friends and am happy being on my own.

I guess I am grateful for all of the above
