This Packaging Is Ridiculous

I ordered some face primer and a box of ibuprofen from Superdrug and they sent in this large box via Evri.

Surely it would have fitted into a Jiffy envelope?

From what I’ve been told of Amazon warehouses, they had a number of boxes of each size in their areas and if they run out they have to go and get more which counts against them (similar to the peeing in bottles debacle). I suspect this is similar in other warehouses so they run out of smaller packaging and grab the next size up! It’s pretty wasteful but I’m not sure what the solution is except promoting better workers rights for warehouse workers!

This was the case at Yankee Candles - I used to cringe at using a massive box and loads of paper for a little bag of tealights or whatever but wouldn't meet my targets if I had to go and pick up more small boxes so...

I'd never thought of that, I must admit. It does make sense, actually.

That must be why some packages seem to be packed sensibly and others are not.

I once had a memory card delivered in a similar size box! It was also sealed in a crazy amount of plastic.
