But no, I wouldn't bother making the appointment and wasting money to change them when there's only a week left before your next appointment. Just paint over them with another polish if you're desperate for a change. Sometimes a Pearl top coat or another semi-sheer colour can make the under colour look really nice and different.

Just get them taken off and put some clear polish on. That way you’re not wasting any money.

If you've already got an appointment next week booked in YABU, just leave it. If you go to a walk-in place then go for it.

If you can afford it then go for it

I wrestle with this about 10 days after getting my gels every time! I try to make them last 2-3 weeks but after 10 days I’m bored! The place I go it’s about £20 to have them taken off and new ones done, if I can afford it I go for it!

If ever there were a decision someone could make on their own it’s this. Why should a bunch of random strangers who won’t even see your nails have an opinion on whether you should change them a week earlier than you were going to?

FYI, I had my red glitter taken off on Friday ( and they did need doing - had been 3 weeks since I had my biab done! )

Do you OP, if you've got nothing on this week, why waste the money, if you want to treat yourself and you can afford too then go for it.

Maybe get less obviously festive ones next year and you won't have this problem.

If you need to spend the £ next week anyway - I don't see what harm there is in bringing it forward.

If you're spending in the region of £500 a year to get your nails done in the first place, I'd wager you can afford to get them done a week early too.

Why do you have to get them take off and redone? Can't you just get infills and isn't that cheaper?

Could the money be better spent elsewhere? I suppose if you're just going to get them done next week anyway it doesn't make a difference. Do you have an appointment booked?

I’ve naturally beautiful long fingernails that I can apply polish to quickly.

This is a dilemma I just don’t have, OP.

At my place infills is as good as taking them all off.
