Are red chrome. Just feel too Christmassy.

its the waste of money really. They probably have another week in them.

Isn't this the sort of thing you're supposed to ask on Facebook? I'm sure those people might care more than us.

Lol this is true but for a lot of people it seems that MN is there go too. Maybe they don’t use social media like that or maybe they don’t have many friends on there!

JesusHRooseveltChristSassenach · 09/01/2023 14:46

If it were me I'd get them done early and make the next set or two last an extra couple of days and then the money balances out over the next two sets

Theos · 09/01/2023 14:48

Oh I don’t use Facebook, it’s for common people

Another one here who is amazed people spend £500 a year on nails..... I'm still using my £2 polish I bought 10 years ago lol.

Montague22 · 09/01/2023 14:51

Red is red. Assuming you’ve not got horrid little Christmas pictures on them, I would leave them. I’m getting my toes red next time which will be end of Jan!

Calphurnia88 · 09/01/2023 14:57

Sorry to hijack the thread but I had gels for the first time before Christmas and stupidly peeled three off 😩

Nails underneath now dry and damaged. Will they recover eventually with oil or will I have to wait for them to grow out?

ApolloandDaphne · 09/01/2023 14:59

I had gold glittery polish for Christmas but kept it on for a full three weeks until I changed it on Friday. I often have red just because I like it. I don't see it as just a Christmas colour.

Thepeopleversuswork · 09/01/2023 14:59

Do whatever you want as long as you can afford it and it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Redglitter · 09/01/2023 15:04

I was sick of my Christmassy ones too. I've got an appointment for next but the place I go to slotted me in last week & I just got the colour removed & replaced.

I completely get where you're coming from

GreenFingersWouldBeHandy · 09/01/2023 15:06

Would you like to chip in for my electricity bill instead? I haven't even had my hair cut since the first lockdown.

Boo hoo for you.

How is that relevant to whether the OP should get new nails?

Why be amazes? People are different.

Some people have car payments, holidays, expensive sky packages, hobbies that cost money.... Some of us like to get our nails done regularly

Otherwise, I find it does damage and takes a few weeks for my nails to recover. If I’m going to bother with gel I do it 2 or 3 times to make it worth the hit my nails will take. Then I take a long break.

Toottooot · 09/01/2023 15:09

If you want them done what’s unreasonable about that? Just get them done 🤷🏻‍♀️

Theos · 09/01/2023 15:12

I don’t really care if my nails are damaged underneath because I never see them. I never quite understand this argument.

It’s weird what triggers people on here. Can we see them @Theos ? I can’t picture what ‘red chrome’ finish would be?

QueefQueen80s · 09/01/2023 15:21

I've had this vacuous thought too OP. I've decided not to waste the money and wait til they have grown out more.

ChangedmynameagainforChristmas · 09/01/2023 15:27

I think we need to see a photo OP.. just to be sure😊

MXVIT · 09/01/2023 15:30

HOW DARE YOU PEOPLE CANNOT EAT

If you have the money to spare and it'll make you feel better - why not?
