The government? Where is the leadership? The reassurance that the problem is being addressed with urgency? Cobra meetings? Horrendous stories coming out of A&E departments right now.

Steve Barclay, the Health Secretary today announced on twitter that people should download the Couch to 5k app to reduce pressure on the NHS.

Do your fucking job, Steve. And Rishi, show some leadership. You bloody wanted this job so badly, where have you gone?

Have to admit to having a little chuckle listening to the 'we must have minimum safe staffing levels during strike action' statement !
Am also slightly terrified that they will take these 'safe' levels and implement them across the board, so emergency cover for ( almost unheard of ) strike action will become the new everday minimum.

A nurse on a picket line said that the min safe staff levels the NHS has with the Unions when on strike, are higher than when they are not....

I know my DD has said they seem to have more agency and nhs staff on the wards on the recent strike day.
