The weirdest thing…I’ve just read about her pregnancy, saw the pictures of her in the snow with her little ones..and just had a massive pang of envy.
Never had that before about Stacey Solomon..just seems nice, the young kids…all the money
Very grateful for my Dd, 4, but can’t have more and would love more. Very grateful to have a roof over our heads and doing ok..but would love more!
I’m not an envious/jealous person normally so it’s taken me a bit by surprise, I’ve also never been interested in S.S either way, although she seems a nice person I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️
Weird!

I have one DC and saw the news about Stacey Solomon and read.."5 kids?! Well good luck to her". But on another note, she has had a hard life and I'm glad that everything is all going well for her.

Eatentoomanyroses · 28/12/2022 23:44

I saw that post and my immediate reaction was She’s pushing her luck having a 5th one. I couldn’t cope with the worry of it. I sometimes feel fleetingly jealous when I see this kind of thing, people living in lovely houses and fancy holidays etc but you can’t know what’s down the road for people. Look at Lauren Goodger, typical glowing Instagram account, lots of money and nice things, then her baby was stillborn. Poor girl.
You’ll see other Instagram accounts of people documenting their cancer journeys and other terrible life/ health battles. I will be very happy if I never have anything particularly dramatic or newsworthy to post about. Revel in and appreciate your ordinariness I say.

EachandEveryone · 28/12/2022 23:44

Im just wondering how much private school is for five 😮

Tempone · 28/12/2022 23:45

Has mumsnet turned into tattle life? Who the hell looks at celebrity floor plans?
Comparison is the thief of joy op.

OatFox · 28/12/2022 23:45

I felt the exact same. I know we don't see everything but it feels like she's living my dream life. A brood of children, a beautiful cottage with land, enough money to be rich but not silly rich - plus, they both seem like really nice people.

I love my husband, our tiny terrace and our two kids but I wish for a large house with a big garden and to have enough money to be able to afford more children.

Cakeandcoffee93 · 28/12/2022 23:46

She’s worked hard- and suffers with bad anxiety. Im happy for her.

Didchristmasreallyhappen · 28/12/2022 23:46

@PammyShipman How do you know all that about her house 🙈

Both got rich from being thick but media savvy.

She is very likeable though. That combined with a modicum of talent and a drive to be in showbiz can carry you a long way. Good on her.

Didchristmasreallyhappen · 28/12/2022 23:47

@VioletLemon Oh for sure, but could also be his character if he’s always been like that. I can’t see her being involved in that life

I think good luck to her, she was a struggling single mum before she got famous and she seems to be making a life for herself and her family, I think she has a wonderful home, not all grey and white like most celebs. I'm not the biggest fan of Joe Swash but they seem happy and I like following her on instagram.

PegasusReturns · 28/12/2022 23:50

Sorry you’re struggling OP but wishing ill of others won’t get you what you want.

SS has gone well for herself and posts the very best on insta. Her life isn’t perfect - because no one’s is but if she lost everything you wouldn’t be happier for it.

Iliveditwizbit · 28/12/2022 23:51

Her X factor audition at 19 was really good , and Simon Cowell and co definitely thought so too. At that point she already had a two year old child, and I think that was pretty amazing. Being a teen mum is hard , and managing to keep an eye on your dreams while raising a toddler takes a special type of person. She’s certainly got focus and determination… she can’t be that ‘daft’?.

trythisforsize · 28/12/2022 23:53

I think Stacey Solomon is just wonderful. She has such a love for life and people. I loved her decluttering programme - the giant warehouse of stuff was amazing! I hope there going to be another series. I love how she takes the snobbishness out of having a beautiful home and crafting etc

Fuck me, are you always such a ray of sunshine? 😂

Didchristmasreallyhappen · 28/12/2022 23:11

@JoyBeorge Is she a nice person?

People who did see her locally didn't have anything bad to say but their house was an absolute fright. We'd have giant baubles and bows around the front door at Christmas and fake pumpkins and plastic flowers around it in autumn. All the tasteful fake splendour you'd expect really. It looked a complete eyesore.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

The sort of thing her kids probably love.

I don't remember reading JoyBeorge ever posting anything kind to be fair.

That sort of thing is pretty tame for him or her.

Tempone · 28/12/2022 23:59

@JoyBeorge
You don't get to decide what's good taste, everyone is entitled to have their home as they like.

sallywinter · 29/12/2022 00:00

i hear you on the pregnancy envy, op. society always says that jealousy is a terrible crime but actually it’s really not.

strangers on the internet haven’t studied your floor plans and worked out where your child sleeps though - that’s a tight rope she’s walking.

IncessantNameChanger · 29/12/2022 00:02

I think the eldest boys dad's was abusive to her. So she in fact has had a shit time and a shit start to her boys life. I really couldn't begrudge her turning her life around.

As to pushing her luck? That's very cruel. Everytime anyone has a baby they are rolling the dice. I hope they are all wonderfully happy.
