Posting for traffic sorry - I’m back at work tomorrow and can’t sleep.

Should I bite the bullet and order a Dyson airwrap? to those that have it - what are your thoughts about it? Is it worth the £450 price tag?

Did bought one last Christmas, she’d sold it by the summer.
we both have quite thick naturally curly hair. Any curls she managed to achieve had dropped out in half an hour. She brought it up on a visit to see if I could use it, I also absolutely hated it.
As others have said it became a very pricey, not especially good hairdryer for a few months and then went.

It's absolutely fantastic, but you absolutely do need to learn how to use it properly. I see so many 'tutorials' where they aren't using it properly at all or are using zero product, and equally so many people moaning about it because they simply aren't following the instructions or using the right product.

My hairdresser gave me a tutorial for drunk my fine, straight, stacked bob with a hot brush. He uses a Dyson hairdryer but the hot brush was a Tresseme and it gave fab results, his vies was no need to pay Dyson prices. So I've bought a Revlon hot brush and my limp flat hair now has volume...

@Mxflamingnoravera which Revlon hot brush did you buy, can you post a link?

I did buy an old version of the airwrap but didn't rate it because the curls didn't hold so returned it. Then I decided it would be good for general styling so I bought one of the new style ones for Xmas. The new style one has only 1 curl barrel which you can change the direction of the curl. So much easier than having 2 and swapping. It also has the flyaway attachment which is really good. I didn't like the first version that I returned as I still had fly aways. But the new version gives you a perfect style with the ability to deal with flyaways. Also, I watched a few tutorials on how to get curls and was able to style my hair and get some decent curls. So happy with it now!
I did get mine from boots both times and was able to return to boots ok the first time. Boots has a sale on the air wraps now so might be worth buying at moment.

Oops, just checked and the sale is over with boots. Must have just been boxing day sale
for a day then.

I like mine, but I don't think it's worth the price.

It's super easy to use, and gives great, smooth volume, but the curls don't hold in my long - already wavy - hair (even with product, drying from wet, even spraying with a setting lotion solution and then pinning after). BUT my hair always looks more 'done' these days: I do a big, proper blow dry and curl on wash day, then every day after that I just refresh the curls a bit which takes 5 minutes and while it isn't curly, it looks like I've had a good blowdry every day.

So I like the ease of it and it does give me generally better hair day to day, but I wouldn't buy it again if it broke now - I reckon you could get the same effect with something else.

I borrowed one (thankfully!) from a friend after my hairdresser raved about it but didn't rate it and will be sticking with my Babylis Big Hair TBH.

I have thick coarse hair and the curl dropped to a wave really quickly and I didn't find it gave the same smooth finish that the BBH does. Yes it was quick and easy but just didn't rate the end results and NO WAY would I spend that on a hair product unless it revolutionised my appearance/I had a lottery win!
