How do you do it?

I have recently moved into a full time role, 4x9.5 hr days back to back with nearly an hour commute either way
I am knackered, if I rest I feel guilty, if I go out on a walk or see friends I feel guilt that I am not resting or doing things in the house, if I do think sod it I am having a day resting, I feel bad that I am not walking or doing something productive

I am tying myself in knots

Why do I feel so bloody guilty about things

I think maybe you’re extra tired at the moment because you have a new demanding job and a long commute. New jobs are always tiring.

I have two young children, 3 and 6 year old, work FT and manage a small social life, doing exercise with friends or drinks after work, or going out with my partner.

I don’t have a cleaner or any help at all round the house.

However what does help is I only have the kids half the week and I work from home, so can get loads done on my lunch breaks.

I think find some regular activities that work for you and get them in the diary. The housework can wait.

Yes I am tired
I had covid in December and we very unexpectedly lost my mother in law who used to have our son for us whenever we wanted to go out.
