That going to bed is my favourite part of the day

Getting into bed is my favourite part of the day. Does that make my life seem sad?

Also my favourite time of day! It's brilliant. DP and I watch a good box set but usually just chat shite at each other for an hour or so before falling asleep 😂

I put a hot water bottle under my duvet to warm the bed about an hour before I go up.

So when I go to bed its so snuggly and warm ❤️🥰👌

Ooh I used to love that when I was a nurse. Even if it wasn’t my last night I loved going home when everyone else was going to work and getting into bed -Bliss!

@Newpuppymummy noooooo way is that sad!!!! It used to be my fav part of the day too!!! But now i have a 3 month old so my sleep is not the same anymore 😁

The teddy bear soft fleece bedding has made it so much more enjoyable going to bed.

Karl Pilkington talks about laughing himself to sleep as a kid, he was so deliriously happy to be in bed.

That's me. Climbing into bed at the end of the day makes me giddy with happiness.

100% agree with this! Teddy bedding is amazing.

We have also just bought new slumberdown comfort pillows (which DH hates) and a new thick 10.5 tog duvet that's as heavy as a weighted blanket (which DH hates).

I have a chronic pain condition and the weight of the new duvet is incredible for pain relief. I'm actually sleeping through for the first time in years.

He can whinge as much as he wants, I ADORE that duvet.

It's the best part of the day. Soapy bath, clean PJs, a good book and if the bedding has just been changed - heaven!

I quite look forward to going to bed. And I am an insomniac and rarely get a good nights sleep, but i still enjoy going to bed.

It's my fave part too. I also work lates so my second favourite time of day is sitting in bed with coffee first thing.

Since we got our new mattress this year and treated ourselves to tempur gel pillows I spend most of the day looking forward to lying in my bed. When dp said he was getting the pillows at £150 each I was gobsmacked at the price but I've honestly slept so well and my frozen shoulder is almost fixed. They are amazing.

Same. I start getting antsy to be in it starting around 4:00 in the afternoon. Around 6:30 I’m running there to get peace from DD and the dogs. I think this is why I’m long term single cause I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t go to bed and get some alone time if there was a man living with me 😂

Credit where credits due - my spouse dutifully does me a “bedtime” given how much I enjoy going to bed by engaging me in a game of 20 questions in bed while rubbing my right hand. Now - I don’t know much about parlour games and their effect on the brain, or the details of acupressure - but I have NEVER managed to ever complete that game of 20 questions, and I have no recollection of how this game or the night ends ever. One minute I start asking the questions for 20 questions and he’s rubbing my hands gently - next thing I know it’s morning. I think it’s the absolute relaxation of that moment where there’s nothing to worry about - and all I need to do is win that game of 20 questions that lulls me into sleep
