Hurrah for Boxing Day

Does anyone else just love boxing day more than Christmas Day. At the moment I’m lying in bed with my kids, they are playing with their toys and watching cartoons. I’m fully planning to not make them get dressed, let them eat what they want today, chocolate for breakfast. And best of all there are no expectations of what to do today, none coming round, no big meal to sort - it’s just so relaxed! Love that Boxing Day feeling - AIBU?

I think I took the ‘eat what you want’ rule a bit far. DH took DD to the shops and got ingredients to make me eggs Benedict. I didn’t realise this was his plan and ate a whole pack of smoked salmon while he was gone, which he’d been planning to use. He was annoyed and then mildly amused 🤷‍♀️. Baby now napping and I’ve managed to pursuance DD to calm down a bit so we are lying on the sofa watching a film. The tail end of this virus going around is making me exhausted. Thank GOODNESS we don’t have visitors today

Snap! Our living room was completely back to normal, all new toys in their new’homes’ by bedtime - ahhhhh tidy tidy 😂😂.
The kids have obviously fished out what they want to play with today but can actually play with them properly without losing all the bits in masses of other toys and rubbish!
