Ricky Gervais standup *potentially sensitive

Just been introduced to Ricky Gervais standup tonight. I've never been interested before as (apart from his interest I animal welfare) I can't stand the guy, but was gobsmacked at his 'farting at a baby's funeral' theme. Am I missing something or is this in hideously bad taste? I'm amazed no one has kicked off about it?

Saw his warm up show for the current Armageddon tour, absolutely love him.
It was a couple of days after the Queen died but he swerved the whole RF which I was both glad and disappointed at.
"Her penis" is genius and I love him for being Team Terf.
I feel the same about Dave Chapelle.

Nothing should be off limits really in comedy.

Maybe it's a generational thing? Maybe different people are allowed to find different things funny? There was a selection of humour to choose from back then too. (Albeit male, white. But then that's what we're considering here.)🤔😁

Used to find him really funny, but as he's aged his jokes have definitely got more of a bitter, twisted edge to them that I just don't think are even worth laughing at.
Do all men just turn into grumpy old farts pissed off with everything?? Even the previously funny ones? Most be their hormones.
