to suggest that if you think what Clarkson said was a step too far (being polite) to complain to IPSO?

IPSO will publicise how many complaints they receive.

If everybody who thinks what Clarkson wrote was unacceptable, even if he dislikes MM (and he's under no obligation to like her) contacts IPSO, then it sends a message. And may dissuade editors from signing of on vileness like this in future.

Worth a try, surely.

If people remain quiet, it looks like it's ok.

Complaining to IPSO is better than tweeting your opinion, because it doesn't publicise the paper or Clarkson. Both of them relish the publicity.

I think women and girls are facing a huge crisis at the moment we really are.

Never watched GOT as what I heard about sounded thoroughly unpleasant but understand it was a reference to that.A vile piece to write.Yet Frankie Boyle gets to keep his New World Order show after his vile midiginistic 'joke' about killing and raping Holly Willoughby ?Am I missing something?

At the Latitude festival in August.He refused to apologise saying it was part of a longer discussion about rape etc.Sounded thoroughly unpleasant. But then I don't like his cruel type of humour any more than JCs comments .But like Jo Brands joke about throwing acid at Nigel Farage some seem to get away with it.

like it or not millions of people in this country agree with his dislike for Meghan. The Game of Thrones reference was clumsy and stupid. But

Oh, please. I’m not a Marxist, just appalled at Clarkson’s article and those who waved it through without an iota of scrutiny. I’m one of the 20,000 who wrote in to complain. Stop with the shrill hysteria about cancelling. He did it to himself by being a nasty bully. It’s not ok to be a dick of this magnitude. Or he can be, he will continue to be, but may find he’s so out of touch. HTH.
