Posting for traffic.
has anyone else had a problem with Santander?
I sold something on Facebook
the person reported me for non delivery
and Santander have blocked my account
I’m absolutely buggered
i have sent proof of messages etc but they are still dragging their heels?
has anyone else had this ?
I’m stuck here with presents still to buy?

Who did the person report you to and how would Santander know about it? I can't see how these two things are connected.

Who have you been speaking with at Santander? When did the block go on your account? Do you have the means to pay essential bills, food etc.?

I am also intrigued as to how they found out, how did the person buying from you tell Santander, how do they know it's your bank

I couldn't get on the app the other day, said my account was blocked. I just needed to reset.

It's how reporting fraud works. The person buying reports to their bank that they have not received items they paid for, their bank will have the op's bank details if it was.purchased using faster payment, so they notify op's bank, and it's blocked while investigated. Probably both parties bank with santander.

Can I ask why? I have a 1/2/3 account so curious that’s all. Is my money safe & secure with them or are you meaning that they’re just crap in other ways?

DH works for Santander and we have loads of accounts and investments with them 🤷‍♀️

Always banked with Santander. Never had a problem.

Santander blocked my account on the 13th
they are still dragging their heels
I sent Santander the messages through a secure email link that they sent me

Strangely DS account has been blocked (to be honest I assumed it was him forgetting his pin / doing something strange but maybe not. He’s planning on going into the branch today to try to sort. Very annoying though as it’s his only account.

the security team.
they will only give me dwp payments or wages not any of my money in there from sales on PayPal which is my income.
I am trying to prove it’s my legitimate income
meanwhile they days tick away.

Sounds like your account has been blocked for business use and nothing to do with the Facebook transaction. This is against the terms of the account and it will probably be closed.

No it’s been blocked because of this 40 sale
they have told me that
it’s nothing to do with that
I sold some specialist equipment as I’m utterly broke at the moment it’s not a business.
