I keep seeing this comment and how Harry is like Diana.

Aibu to think none of us know how Diana would feel about any part of what’s happened.

Meghan whatever you think of her, she’s no Diana.

I think most mothers would be pretty gutted if their grown up sons weren't on speaking terms.

Based on everything we know about Diana, I’m pretty sure she would be with Harry on this one.
But I thought the same as the poster above - she’d be gutted.

TBH Diana seemed to be a toxic attention seeking home wrecking lunatic who is only martyrised because she died young. so I no don’t think Meghan is like her. Meghan is a better woman. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a Meghan fan in the least, but she seems to actually love her husband and I don’t think she’d treat her DC in the awful way Diana treated her boys.

I think Diana would be gutted her children are not on good terms, and would be disappointed in harry for putting down William on a netflix doc for the world to see. I think she'd also be unimpressed with Meghan and worried for Harry's future. But hey, I didn't know the woman!

I don't think Meghan would have gotten anywhere near Harry had Diana lived. I think the whole reason he is with her is because he's grown up without her or a proper mother figure and has been easily manipulated. It's sad.

I think any parent would hate the thought of their previously close DC going NC in adulthood. But let’s fact it Charles and Diana hardly led on excellent examples of family relations!

The Diana adoration is absolutely batshit. She was just a human being, not even (by what I know about her) a particularly great one either, she was not some kind of demigoddess. People actually need to catch a grip.

All of them are self important, attention seeking eejits. It's cringeworthy to see people fawn all over them.

This. Plus she wanted Charles to not be king and it to pass straight to William so if she were alive I think she would have counselled her sons to reconcile for the good of the monarchy.

Because they are two different people. Why try and make Meghan be Diana? She’s her own person whatever you think of her.

That aside I think it’s far too basic to say “Diana would be proud” because there’s so much more to this and she would have both her children involved.

Tend to be the same types (complete with accusatory 'you must be' implications and multiple exclamation marks) for whom there is only one side to the current story and you'd better be on the same one as them or else.

I think she'd side with the RF. She didn't want to divorce Charles or leave the family. There are undoubtedly comparisons with Diana and Charles. Him being jealous of her and not wanting his position over shadowed, I can imagine William being threatened by m and h. I've read William has a temper too. But I don't think Diana would actually see that. I also think she'd be very jealous of Meghan. She was obsessed with her boys apparently. I think she'd be very threatened by Meghan and the devotion Harry shows to her.

Kate would be less if a threat and know her place.

Diana wanted her son to be king. So I can imagine she would be on Williams side.
I’m sure if alive she would have pushed for Charles to be passed over in favour of him.

Read it and weep or I tell everyone what a shit show this is, go back to my nice parents and start with a series of exposes - and guess what, they’ll believe me and I’ll get the sympathy vote - so from now on it’s my way. Capeesh? Now get me another green smoothie.

I think Kate is extremely happy and comfortable with her lot and realises and embraces the over privilege she has with v little complaint. I think William purposefully picked someone not like his mother so as not to recreate his parent’s mess of a marriage
