Everest

NRCOA · 13/12/2022 22:59

Touching the void is one of my favourites.

HeidiWhole · 13/12/2022 22:59

Touching the Void! Docu-drama rather than film though

Londongent · 13/12/2022 23:06

The Mountain between us.
The Grey

AnyFucker · 13/12/2022 23:07

That one with Leonardo DiCaprio and the massive bear

MaggieMama · 13/12/2022 23:07

WibblyWobblyBoat · 13/12/2022 23:08

KaleToChristmas · 13/12/2022 23:09

Do you?! When it's cold I like to watch things that make me feel warmer1

I was also going to suggest Alive and Misery.

That one with Leonardo DiCaprio and the massive bear

The Revenant

The Edge with Alex Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins

fridageer · 13/12/2022 23:11

Snowbound

1990s film based on a true story. Very good despite the title sounding lightweight.

NewBootsAndRanty · 13/12/2022 23:13

The Shining

AnyFucker · 13/12/2022 23:14

The foreign version of Let Me In

30 days of night-terrifying

GreenSeaGlass · 13/12/2022 23:16

I watched Keep Breathing on Netflix recently. A bit slow starting but quite a watchable series if you want to binge watch.

APurpleSquirrel · 13/12/2022 23:25

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

saltinesandcoffeecups · 13/12/2022 23:28

Not a film but a good audiobook… Green glass House

MzLucky · 13/12/2022 23:34

The day after tomorrow

Florenz · 13/12/2022 23:35

The Empire Strikes Back

Getoff · 13/12/2022 23:36

Centigrade.

True story, American couple driving in Norway, pull over to side of the road in snow storm, car gets buried in snow. They are there a long time.

I'm not recommending it, it's not cheerful, but it gets points for being true.

DuesToTheDirt · 13/12/2022 23:38

Against the Ice, historical drama about the Danish claiming land in Greenland.

Frazzled2207 · 13/12/2022 23:46

Can’t believe no one else has said die hard 2

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/12/2022 23:47

Snowpiercer (TV series and film)

Yikes! My suggestion was at least Christmasy 😄 although not a film so kind of a wash

mackthepony · 14/12/2022 00:07

Touching the void is awesome

There's a more recent film with Mads Mikklesen, airplane crash and he walks for miles in the snow. Very bleak (obviously)

The book 'into thin air' is heartbreakingly good, I think Everest was loosely based on it, but I preferred the book. Beautifully written, but make sure you have a box of hankies on standby..
