Bear with me as my excuse is I'm vegetarian.

With friends who were talking about their Christmas dinner. Said they were having a three bird roast, and I really thought the birds were all stuffed into each other.

I just couldn't figure out how that happened.

To me it's gross because I can't imagine all 3 birds being cooked very well, as mentioned above.

Yes, that's the only reason I have never had one. I suppose in that way I am about respecting the bird which sacrificed it's life to feed me. Badly cooked meat is a very sad thing.

If you had said that ActionThisDay I would probably have agreed with you.

It's all the legs that bother me. Like six legs and six wings. All a bit lumpy.

So op, please explain the pate thing ? I need to know how you understood meat so badly.

I'm vegetarian. This is unknown territory. I saw a picture and it looked like it was all wrapped around like a mixture.

I'm still not wholly sure I understand it 160 messages in tbh. I'm still not understanding why? Confused

There isn’t really a ‘why’. Novelty and excess I suppose. The same as having flamboyant desserts that need smashing or melting or decanting. It’s for display and show.

what theyre arnt loads of legs and things its usually breast meat

OP:
If your friend has bought a supermarket 3 bird roast it will be sliced meat inside in layers with stuffing between and around it wrapped in the outer bird or part thereof, rather than being whole birds, but the meat itself isn't minced. Perhaps that is where the confusion lies?

Usually called a Turducken, you can get them from butchers.

The most disappointing thing I ever ate. No texture and no flavour.
