How cold is it where you are?

Just thought I’d start a thread as it would be interesting to see the different temperatures across the uk (well maybe not interesting, but feel free to comment if you want!)

its currently -9 here. It’s absolutely freezing and it feels like a horrible damn/wet cold. We have the heating on atm and hot water bottles and it’s still chilly. Interestingly, I have friends in another city and the temperature is lower but still cold (-5) and they said it doesn’t feel particularly colder than normal.

whats the temperature like where you are?

-6 in Morayshire, that was at 9pm and I think it's got colder so probably lower now.

-8 in Aberdeen. Been in the minuses all day. Doesn’t feel particularly extra cold though

It's currently -2 where I am in Yorkshire, and it doesn't seem that cold, but there is no wind and so I'm guessing that is the reason? Could be totally wrong though. Mind you, I wouldn't want to go and sit in the garden.

-3° right now in my part of NE Scotland. It got up to 1° earlier today.

DH is a bus driver and drove to Perth around 7pm. Weather app said it was -6° there but DH said it felt a lot colder than that.

0c Here in S Yorks at present- dips to -3 and then climbs to -1 by 1pm tomorrow.
Has been a very frosty grey foggy day - WFH and needed lights on all day as well as heating. Looks to improve a bit by Wednesday- still freezing but some sun. Hard to imagine the day it hit 40c in the summer- I was fantasising about this sort of weather back then! Now it's here not so much.

This is a great reminder why Scotland is a beautiful place to visit in summer but not so much in winter.
