Behaviour Panel colluding with the Monarchy?
Kate setting up a fascist dress code for a recorded Christmas carol service?
Any more paranoid suggestions, keep them coming in.

Haha! In fairness I think the Behaviour Panel is a load of guff and have speculated in other threads why on earth it’s suddenly being praised all over the forum – couldn’t get beyond a minute of its shouty man nonsense.

And “burgundy fascism” is so clearly a joke. (90% of why I come to the royal family board is the jokes and the drama. 10% stirring.) Though it would be naive to think the royal family have not had a discussion about the optics of togetherness, and the importance of widespread media coverage, in this particular week, to combat the Harry and Meghan headlines. They’re all dim, but they’re not stupid. Their bread is buttered by public favour.

bakalava · 16/12/2022 11:57

@pelargoniums I get your point but there are some people on here who take it all extremely seriously, especially when they are huge fans of one side or the other. I am not a fan of any of the royals which helps.

pelargoniums · 16/12/2022 12:06

@bakalava Fair! I’m a “first up against the wall when the revolution comes” republican, largely in it (posting on MN) for the entertainment, but the sheer volume and depth of the Meghan hatred on here has got to me recently and prompted me to defend them more. It’s been interesting having accusations thrown at me (not saying you did this) that I’m a paid PR shill, that I work for Sunshine Sachs (because I used the word sunshine…), that I’m male, that I’m a blind devotee who can’t see their flaws, that I must be 15 or have no GCSEs because how can anyone be this stupid, etc etc.

When truly I’m just passing the time and genuinely thought they came across well in their documentary and have had a rough old go of it: I would not enjoy having photographers surrounding me or racist death threats sent my way!

I do agree that the die-hards on both sides take it wildly seriously for something that doesn’t really affect any of us in our day-to-day lives. Though obviously I think having a constitutional monarchy does affect us, as does gutter tabloid “journalism”, and institutional racism. But on a daily basis, the “Kate wore a coat!” and “Meghan exists!” stuff doesn’t, and the passion it all ignites is bizarre from my POV, because I don’t care that much and they’ll all be fine and rich either way. After all, no more Philip to arrange Parisian car crashes!

bakalava · 16/12/2022 12:16

@pelargoniums I quite agree. If anybody is burdened by guilt and needs to pay me for my posts for their own wellbeing then it would be rude not to accept so I may stick my payment details on here, what with Christmas on it's way!

It is interesting to see how it has become so polarised that posters at the extreme ends are unable to cope with disagreeing with 'their side' on even minor issues because they may lose the security of their mob.

These discussions run and run, it's too cold to do much outdoors, it is a relatively cheap pastime and of no detriment to any of the Royals who need the attention and clicks to stay relevant!

Loving the pictures of Catherine’s carol service last night. And apparently no issues at all with wearing the same colour. 😎

Haha. Of course. I was thinking that must be the in colour for the season. Doh! Those windsor women are fab!

MarshaMelrose · 16/12/2022 12:38

I never heard any of them shout and I've watched quite a few of their videos. If anything they're a bit dry.

pelargoniums · 16/12/2022 12:44

@MarshaMelrose The shouty one was in the bottom right corner with his own body language issues – so much hand waving to tell us to click like on the video, get in touch if you want more, sign up to their channel, etc. Faced with an hour of him bellowing and bouncing just to tell me that Harry’s blink is actually a cry for help, I gave up.

KnickerlessParsons · 16/12/2022 12:58

I assumed they had all liaised to agree the colour scheme for the concert. It all looked deliberate.

Mark. He doesn't shout or bellow! He can dodge around a bit, though. 😁 I think he's perceptive but he does go on a bit for me.
I think they're interesting. And fair. And they do occasionally disagree.

longwayoff · 16/12/2022 13:31

He's a Spencer. Spencers love nothing better than a feud, a family feud so much the better. They thrive on their paranoia. They are just as odd as the Windsors and he's got a double dose plus a wife who's happy to chuck her relatives under the bus as well. I expect they're bitterly happy.

Do you genuinely believe that ‘feuding’ is genetic?!

longwayoff · 16/12/2022 17:19

No. Learned behaviour from generations of maladjusted family relationships.

eddiemairswife · 16/12/2022 18:27

It all sounds a bit Shakespearian.

It sounds clannish. (Been watching Neil Olivers History of the Clans. 😁 )

Frankola · 16/12/2022 20:38

It's the affair stuff. Rose is not her real name. Her name is Sarah.

How to tell us you haven’t watched it without saying you haven’t watched it 😂

HRTQueen · 17/12/2022 09:17

Uncle Gary is now getting involved and openly selling his side of the story

😆😆 I bet William is over the moon with this bit of news

in the end the Palace pr is a well oiled incredibly successful machine that Harry shall be up against all his life. He won’t be silenced they didn’t protect his mother and now his wife but I’m not sure he will win this battle

LBFseBrom · 17/12/2022 09:43

Who is Uncle Gary?

HRTQueen · 17/12/2022 09:49

Kate’s wife beating dodgy uncle that the palace can’t shut up

LBFseBrom · 17/12/2022 09:52

Oh yes, I remember reading a bit about him before. Well, a lot of people have embarrassing relatives, the royals have had more than a share of those so I doubt anybody will take much notice of Uncle G. I must admit I didn't know he was a wife beater! I hope she LTB'd.

Yes, I find it helps to regard them all as ridiculous.

It’s the drama! I just love it!

TheKeatingFive · 17/12/2022 10:08

I always enjoy Uncle Gary.

But why did he watch it? 😵

I genuinely find Chase Hughes’s voice very soothing! And the others’ as well. They sometimes joke around, they theorise, and they can be serious.

I think they always make it clear that they are looking for clusters of signs of deception, and that one sign on its own means nothing. Even three signs together could be nothing, Chase Hughes says in that last video.

AutumnCrow · 17/12/2022 10:22

Bloody hell Uncle Gary! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more bonkers.

bakalava · 17/12/2022 11:00

Uncle Gary was a bit underwhelming on this occasion! I think that Haitch and M need to accept that they cannot fight/guilt/lovebomb their way into the hearts or minds of others.
They are proof that even if you throw millions and millions at it, manufacturing celebrity is a recipe with unpredictable results.
You cannot pay anyone to make you likeable or believable or to sell your preferred agenda. People are more clued up about these elaborate PR machines whirring away out of sight and nobody is easily fooled.
You are more likely to be judged for repeatedly drawing attention to the speck in your brother's eye.
