If there was 'proof' re Williams affairs we wouldn't be here discussing it - so a moot point

It will alll come out eventually

If there was 'proof' re Williams affairs we wouldn't be here discussing it - so a moot point

There are clear indications that Meghan and Harry themselves invented the rumors about William in an attempt to humiliate Kate and damage William's reputation. The rumors can be directly traced back to a tweet shared by Gilen Coren after spending a weekend with Harry and Meghan at Soho House in Amsterdam. Coren later admitted the rumor was made up and he'd shared it for a joke.

Harry and Meghan like to pretend to be victims, but their own behaviour towards their families has been questionable to say the least. I can only assume they were motivated by jealousy, it's all very off.

I was too tired to write this night, after I watched the Behaviour Panel’s take on things.

It is rather uncompromising. They mentioned Oedipus a few times, and that ‘he married his mother’ whom he NEEDS to be hounded and crying. And that Harry’s put M in a role that she was pleased to accept because she’s narcissistic. The panel think the vague complaints are hollow and are platitudes; and also interestingly that they both crave the attention they get from making the documentary although for different reasons/needs.

The panel are four white men, three Americans and one Brit, all apparently accredited experts. They pick apart use of language as well as behaviour. They’ll be looking at more of the documentary episodes soon.

I’d be interested to know what others thought of that Behaviour Panel video?

Too tired last night that should have read ^^

Giles Coren should be ashamed of himself. Making that sort of joke, if you can call it a joke, is very low. William is married I wonder if Coren thought how it would hurt Kate, how damaging it could be for their children.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley has lost his job as Lord Great Chamberlain.

Covenient for William eh? Daddy to the rescue so they never have to meet again and bury his affair with the guy's wife even deeperbut we all know William had an affair with Rose Hanbury - Chumley's wife

It's a jointly held position that rotates between 3 families on a long established timescale.

The Cholmondeley's are entitled to 50% of the share so its likely David Cholmondeley will assume the role when William is King.

Facts are your friend!

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 15/12/2022 09:37

Is this the lie?

I'm reading on social media that the BIG LIE is that a joint statement was issued by the palace after H&M's departure, but Harry is saying that's a lie. He had no part in the joint statement.
I can't find more detail yet.

A bot is a computer programme that leaves comments. It works where a short punchy comment is needed but little interaction.

If you look at one of the trailers for Harry and Meghan posted on YouTube, the comments underneath all start ‘I love how ….’ then there is a short derogatory comment. That looks like a badly programmed bot (no attempt made to mix up the phrasing). For the avoidance of all doubt, if the RF wanted to use bots, I have no doubt they could afford a top of the line version so I don’t think they had anything to do with the comments being posted.

People posting on this thread are interacting so they aren’t bots. However, I supposed they (we) could be paid PR people. It’s rumoured that some PR agencies do go onto threads on social media to tilt them in the direction they want. If there is someone on here who has suddenly appeared on Mumsnet and posts only for or against M & H (and isn’t also posting on multiple threads unconnected to the RF), maybe they are paid to be here but there is no one on the thread that I’ve read their post and immediately thought they are a ringer (of course, maybe that’s what they want me to think).

The YouTube comments that start with "I love the part where..." are a naturally occuring viral joke. It happens where 1 poster makes a comment, it gets huge likes and people imitate it.

That's pretty obvious to anyone who's spent any time online. You can't programme a bot to do that.

You see it happening on many platforms - this one included.

Christopher Bouzy claimed it was bots with a very poorly worded series of tweets to try to downplay the negative reaction to the trailers.

And here we have it - THE GREAT LIE:

“In episode five, he speaks of a "wedge" driven between them following his decision to step down as a senior royal, and words appearing in his name which he said he hadn't agreed to.

He explains: "A story came out saying part of the reason Meghan and I were leaving was because William had bullied us out.

"Once I got in the car after the meeting [at Sandringham with other royals], I was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother's name, squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family.

"I couldn't believe it. No one had asked me. No one had asked me permission to put out a statement like that."

He goes on to criticise the royal press machine, saying a line that was previewed in the trailers.

"Within four hours they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."

So the ‘lie’ is that the palace put out a statement saying that William hadn’t bullied Harry out of the family - and Harry thinks he did.

In my mind - that’s what is generally known as a ‘difference of opinion’. Not a lie?

Recollections may vary indeed…

Rinoachicken · 15/12/2022 09:38

That’s from the BBC live feed btw

AutumnCrow · 15/12/2022 09:48

How could they have been bullied out by William when they were seeking to a carve out their 'progressive new role' in the institution of the royal family, blah blah, being half in / half out. Or was this a meeting where William said 'not on your nelly' and that's 'bullying' Harry?

Or is it saying 'no' to M that's 'bullying'? That would play right into H's Diana complex. His wife must be treated badly, to be like Diana. Without 'bullying', H can't be her white knight.

AutumnCrow · 15/12/2022 09:51

Yep, here we go ... Harry says his family resented his wife's popularity.

Exactly like Diana with Charles.

Err I think Harry might have a point if, as you say, “difference of opinion” was the truth.

Penaltyshootoutfan · 15/12/2022 10:16

I actually think harry might be really struggling. He is clearly in his head comparing his wife to his mother, and reliving it. The paparazzi, the chasing, the popularity.

there are huge contradictions in what they say, one minute they needed to leave due to racism, hatred and abuse, the next it’s because Meghan is so popular with the British public the royal family can’t take it, so were briefing against her. The latter is a narrative we know all too well

he tells us repeatedly he was scared history would repeat itself, there was an odd clip about them being scared in the car due to a pap biker following, now he is going on about the palace briefing against him, which is what Diana said and he’s also now saying it’s because Meghan was a rock star to the British public,, put performing Charles, he tells us how Meghan is just like his mother, with her warmth and caring etc

i don’t know but I’m starting to think this isn’t quite what it seems, that he is deeply struggling and is reliving his child hood trauma,

MrsThimbles · 15/12/2022 10:21

PinkTonic · 15/12/2022 08:18

If he did, which I don’t believe there is any evidence for, H&M revealing it would only serve to demonstrate how low they are prepared to stoop. Constantly peddling lies and perpetuating unsubstantiated rumours about individuals and families on social media to try to gain traction because you don’t agree with monarchy is also revolting behaviour which only reflects badly on you.

Spot on.

I agree, he seems to be conflating Meghan and Diana and know wants to save Meghan to redeem the poor 12-year old who couldn't save his mum. He needs more support than a Netflix tell-all can provide.

bakalava · 15/12/2022 10:54

They could have used this opportunity to address unfair rumours and do some good PR for themselves but they are so bitter that they have missed the last opportunity.
That Friends-style funny dancing in the doorway of Nottingham Cottage is as helpful to her as the curtsey. She comes across as too common to have learned the ropes and unhinged because she is too old for that type of public posting.

TheKeatingFive · 15/12/2022 11:03

Yes, 100% like sticking your tongue out at church or mouthing the F- word in surprise from the golden coach at your £30 million paid for wedding.

Novella4 · 15/12/2022 11:10

@bakalava
Keep digging

TheKeatingFive · 15/12/2022 11:13

God yes. So blatant though.

TheKeatingFive · 15/12/2022 11:19

Yes, 100% like sticking your tongue out at church or mouthing the F- word in surprise

Gosh yes, those things really stand out in relation to the exemplary behaviour we've seen at all time from the royals over the years.

Princessglittery · 15/12/2022 11:26

@Penaltyshootoutfan you are right, the constant comparison between Meghan and Diana does come over as reliving a childhood nightmare. For those of us who were adults when Diana and Charles first met recall the press/paps hounding her relentlessly and I can see why he has grown up with such strong views and concerns.

The newspapers and the media have a lot to answer for.

ReneBumsWombats · 15/12/2022 12:27

Why is being common a problem?

Aren't most people common, not royalty or aristocracy? Isn't that literally what it means? Aren't you?
