My wonderful DH invited me to meet his colleagues yesterday at a drinks and bowling night. Everyone was lovely and welcoming. One of his female colleagues cheerily greeted me hello, v friendly, when l looked back again she was still looking at me in the eyes (smiling, nothing antagonistic!), it just felt like a few seconds longer than usual social norms would dictate. That is all.

How would you interpret this?

PAFMO · 11/12/2022 12:46

I wouldn't.

ThreeB · 11/12/2022 12:47

Wasn't this a scene from Bridget Jones?

Itsthewhitehat · 11/12/2022 12:48

What?

bloodywhitecat · 11/12/2022 12:48

I wouldn't. How did you interrupt it?

dudsville · 11/12/2022 12:49

I agree with everyone else.

Badgirlriri · 11/12/2022 12:50

ThreeB · 11/12/2022 12:47

Wasn't this a scene from Bridget Jones?

Yes!

😂

Blueyismylife · 11/12/2022 12:50

She clearly fancies you. Would you divorce your husband for her?
....
I wouldn't interpret it as anything, just in case the sarcasm is lost lol

BrutusMcDogface · 11/12/2022 12:51

Eh?

Regularsizedrudy · 11/12/2022 12:51

She’s madly in love with you ?

moreparmesan · 11/12/2022 12:52

Are you suggesting she has a connection with your DH? This is what your post implies. From this alone that wouldn’t be my conclusion… unless you are already worried about your DH

mamabear715 · 11/12/2022 12:53

Dunno.. curious? Judgy?

Stompythedinosaur · 11/12/2022 12:54

I wouldn't think anything of it.

Notimeforaname · 11/12/2022 12:54

Its nothing. Nothing happened.

A person greeted you and looked at you longer than you would have looked at someone else.

That's literally it.

Notimeforaname · 11/12/2022 12:55

Or are you wanting something else to be behind it?
Literally nothing happened.

riotlady · 11/12/2022 12:55

I don’t think I would register it?

Penaltyshootoutfan · 11/12/2022 12:56

Lol seriously?

ok give, what’s the deal. Have you massive jealousy and insecurity issues, or Is he a cheat, what’s going on. Cos this is weird as fuck

MWNA · 11/12/2022 12:56

She's definitely jealously scrutinising you and covering it with fake friendliness.

That's what you want to read, I imagine.

Itwasntevenblackpudding · 11/12/2022 13:04

Someone looked at you?

Report it immediately - it might be part of a bigger picture/final piece in the jigsaw.

Almost definitely "county lines".

UseOfWeapons · 11/12/2022 13:18

Did you have spinach between your teeth? Easily done, I know…

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 11/12/2022 13:26

It doesn't mean anything.

PriamFarrl · 11/12/2022 13:27

A woman looked at you?

anyonefortea21 · 11/12/2022 13:31

Sorry - I know it sounds weird :-( For context, DH is amazing and loyal and wonderful, nothing is going on with this woman or anyone else (she's never approached him in that way and is always professional), I have been struggling with insecurity and jealousy triggered from a previous trauma (DH not involved) and I guess I'm freaking out that she has a thing for DH so is checking me out (checking out "what his wife looks like", comparing, overly interested in me etc etc). Wanted to post here to check that this really is all down to me and the overly long look doesn't suggest anything. It's hard right now and I'm obsessing.

munchymoo · 11/12/2022 13:41

I wouldn't think anything of it OP x

munchymoo · 11/12/2022 13:46

There are loads of reasons she could have been looking at you. Maybe you're interpreting it like this because of your anxiety and you went in looking for threat?

tunthebloodyalarmoff · 11/12/2022 14:04

If you trust your husband it doesn't matter what her reasons are
