Nephews texting DS disgusting things

DS has just had his six birthday, his uncle gave him his old mobile phone to watch his YouTube things on. I said no but OH said give him a chance it’s the same as him using our iPad and if he gets too attached we will take it away.

It has no SIM card in but he can still message and call of WiFi. Anyhow nephew has texted him sexual things really really disgusting things about doing a sexual act on him (nephew is 8). OH doesn’t want to address it until he sees his brother.

Phone has been removed from DS now and he won’t ever have one again until he is at high school.

This isn’t the only thing, DH was sat with nephew and he was calling the black footballer malteasers. I am black and our kids are mixed race it doesn’t sit well with me.

Im so angry and feel like I could flip I don’t even know where to go from here as DH won’t address it yet.

You go and speak to the childs parents yourself!! You dont wait for your husband to do it or let you do it.

I wouldn't wait another second telling the parents what their child is doing and saying!!

This is indeed beyond disturbing. Your husband's reaction is also disturbing.

Someone needs to get that child off the phone and quick. They need to know what hes doing with it.

Well you saying/doing nothing doesn't help at all. Jesus. Everyone thinks it is fine so are doing nothing. You are also doing nothing so there you go. Hope your child couldn't actually read /understand the messages.

Right, well my children are black too and if someone I know never mind someone in my actual family was calling black footballers malteasers then I would have something to say (I don't mean in an angry ranting way) but it wouldn't just not sit well with me. Confused

It's people outside the family you need to tell. If someone is abusing your eight year old nephew you are giving them the opportunity to cover their tracks.

The average age for a boy to see porn in this country is 8. Child-on-child sexual abuse is the fastest growing category of sex crime in this country. It's basically boys abusing other boys and girls, usually younger ones.
Porn is violent these days like you would possibly not believe. It's a public health crisis.
Sort this out now. Don't wait. Don't chicken out.
