Have namechanged...

He collects things, these specific things. I hate them. They are all over his computer room and i mean ALL over, everywhere, not a space on the wall.

Boxes of them in the attic, random ones all over my house. Piles of them boxed. Opened. Doing f**k all but taking up space.

He cant go out shopping without buying one.

I fucking hate them.

Range from about £4 - £100 in value,

but he has hundreds,

And we discussed it the other night, I told him it was getting ridiculous.

We are on a tight budget and we goes out and gets 2, and says they were only £4 each -

YES BUT WHEN YOU BUY THEM CONSTANLY ITS EXPENSIVE!

So we talked and he agreed it was getting out of hand and we didnt have the money for it.

Anyway I needed some money in my paypal to pay for something and he told me to go on his account and transfer some.

So I did and noticed the latest transaction (i swear I wasnt snooping, it didnt even occour to me anything had gone on!)

and ways reciept for payment for $140!!! for one of these things!!!

almost £70!!!! After we had agreed no more!!

I just went down stairs told him I knew, he looked shifty and said it was the last one! (yeah right!!) and just came back up here.

I am in tears.

Im so pissed off. I dont know what to do anymore, its too much

camlivandjj · 31/01/2008 21:30

it cant be that bad can it?

Chuffinnora · 31/01/2008 21:30

He needs to indulge his hobby with his money not the family's. Dh and I pay all the bills, put away savings and then split evenly the money left over every month. It is up to us how we spend it. Perhaps this will curb his spending? I would also insist he buy a shed for the garden to hold his collection.

Take away all finances access.

Give him pocket money.

And curl your top lip when he protests, silently. Raise one eyebrow if you can.

Hecate · 31/01/2008 21:31

stamps? socks? nose hair trimmers?

FumingJustFuming · 31/01/2008 21:31

They would be wiorth an absolute fortune if you can sell them. Especially if they're still in the packaging. Sorry if this isn't helpful....

cluelessnchaos · 31/01/2008 21:34
