To boast about my son?

It's more of a message that I think is important to put out.

Yesterday I was in the car with my (just turned) four year old and had a seizure for the first time along with some other issues.

I felt unwell and the next thing I remember is hearing DS screaming and the police and paramedics trying to get into my car.

He used my phone to call 999 and directed them to where we were. He told them mummy was shaking, not talking and my eyes had gone white.

Yes, I am obviously incredibly proud of him but I also think this is such an important message.

He saved my life and he wouldn't have known what to do if I hadn't had taught him. So please, if you haven't already, teach your kids what to do in an emergency.

Oh bless him, what a star. It's so easy to panic and not remember what you've been told, you must have taught him well!

That is amazing, I couldn't actually speak to 999 as I was freaking out when my husband had his first seizure.

Could you tell his school or nursery how brave he was. I hope the emergency services said what a brave boy he was.

Can I also encourage parents to teach their teens what to do if they are a victim if crime when out and about by themselves. Many will call parents or go home first as its so instinctual, but this can lose valuable time if the crime is still in progress or just happened they should call 999 and give them the confidence to do this when alone if it is safe to do so.

What a wonderful brave child you have. He is a credit to you. He will be top of Santa’s nice list! Take him for a lovely big hot chocolate with all the marshmallows he wants when you’re better!

it's very impressive he remembered & didn't panic. Though they tend to panic more when they're a bit older as they're more self conscious!
