Susan Hussey has resigned. Philip was coming out with similar comments in public all his life, yet there was no move to get rid of him. AIBU to think this is more royal hypocrisy?

Lady Susan has hugely embarrassed Camilla and undermined her new role of Queen Consort. What I would love to know is what Charles, William and Camilla really think about Susan's conduct. My guess is that they are just as intrinsically racist. Kate too.

This humiliating incident should shake the whole dynasty up, chuck out the old and rebuild. Educate yourselves on the needs of their 'subjects', it's the very least they can do..

I said earlier on in thread that it's a very detailed recall of a conversation. This gives me some suspicion that it was recorded.

If this conversation is an account if two peoples accounts then it will
Not necessarily be totally accurate and may miss out minor details which 'could' change the emphasis of the actual interaction.

The witnesses said it was "racist and offensive". BP said it was "unacceptable and deeply regrettable" following an immediate and detailed investigation.

It was a racist interaction.

I didn't say he couldn't cut her off @Theunamedcat and yes we are all entitled to cut off or distance ourselves from friends and family members whose behaviour we deem unacceptable. But most of us don't have public roles or get to make public statements denouncing the offender's conduct.

Most of us are not part of the Establishment associated with the Head of State whose conduct (and that of those who work with and support them) should be exemplary. Targeting this woman just looks mean and vengeful, and also insincere; as if the token gesture of sacrificing her gets them off the hook and avoids any further scrutiny of them and how they select their hangers on. How exactly do they run things in that Palace, including their PR which we pay for?

It really is late in the day for the RF to start distancing themselves from her. She has been their close associate for decades, I just don't believe they didn't have any inkling until now as to what she was like. I am not convinced they are open to change in any meaningful way.

There was no evidence she had ever done anything like this before when this first came out now other people are saying she did the same to them which begs the question why didn't they say something at the time if it was so abhorrent?

In order to believe this all a 'conspiracy' you'd have to believe that;
SH was in on it, thus her continued questioning. SH is William's Godmother, so you'd have to believe SH was determined to ruin her Godson's Boston trip.

And that NF knew SH would not only ask the question, but repeatedly ask it.

Seriously, wake up those who think it's a 'conspiracy'. You're saying SH wanted to harm her Godson?

Vanessa Feltz is Jewish and her fiancé is a person of colour. I would imagine she’s had enough racism directed at her to be more than qualified to comment.
