To think that the Twiglet recipe has changed?

So, I have always loved Twiglets. However, in recent years I'm convinced they taste totally different. They are no longer as 'Marmitey' or solid (if you know what I mean?)

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Twiglets just aren't what they once were?

YABU = No, they taste just as they always have.

YANBU = They definitely taste different and the recipe MUST have changed!

I don't know for definite as I'm not a fan but DH brought some a few weeks back and said they tatsed vile. He loves them but couldn't finish the tub which is very unlike him.

Agree! For years we've always had one tub of Twiglets and one of cheesy footballs in for Xmas, but they were so rank last year it's going to be cheesy footballs x 2 this year.

I have eaten a LOT of Twiglets in my life, and I totally agree. They are not the same. I love Twiglets but they are sadly disappointing now.

The recipe has been changed to reduce the salt content:

The recipe was also changed about 10 - 15 years ago, they used to have cheese in them and were much tastier

@808Kate1 , cheesy footballs x 2 sounds wise given the circumstances.

No, they are horrible. I bought some bags a few months ago which would once have lasted no time at all, but no-one (including me) likes them now.

Can't we just choose how much salt we have instead of this nannying state? I wanted a packet of crisps to go with my sandwich in Waitrose earlier and all the choices were the horrible baked walkers crisps and pop chips!! Argh

Look at the labelling. No longer says marmite as a flavouring, Marmite crisps are my go to now

Loads of things aren’t worth eating anymore. When I saw the reduced fat Cheese Tasters in M&S recently... I thought, they’d better not be getting rid of the proper ones!

Yes we bought some the other day me and my son use to love them but we couldn’t eat them anymore and they tasted vile, thought I was being paranoid but went on to tescos to check the reviews and some many was saying the same and that the recipe has changed

just opened a tub to enjoy for Christmas - no flavour at all. Don't think it's just the salt content - no flavour at all

100% agree, they are now fucking awful. Not as salty, they just taste weird, I refuse to touch them now and they used to be delicious.

It's the tubs. They're awful. I'm not sure why they don't work but they dont.
The bags sre still twigletty. I have done significant research in this field and know it to be a fact.
