To feel disgusted with myself for just doing this

Itsfridayforgiveyourself · 25/11/2022 19:26

Went to a drive through before, ordered my Dd a happy meal and myself a Big Mac, Mcchicken sandwich, cheeseburger and coke. No idea why, just always wanted to order my favourite things and not do the meal thing. Generally always with Dh and would feel kind a pig in front of him.
I barely ever drink Coke either, literally only when I have a mcds or pizza, which doesn’t sound like it by this thread, but is pretty rare!
Whyyyyy 🙈it wasn’t even that bloody good, not like I imagined it 😫

Mumsnet bingo is in play by those whose roast chicken lasts a week.

However next time dont ask on AIBU, OP. Bad call!

NotDecemberYet · 25/11/2022 20:38

If you hadn’t have fulfilled the urge it would have come back later ! Now you won’t want one for ages .
Recently I had the urge - only problem - I enjoyed it . I had the day off work and after I dropped Ds off at school I had a sausage and egg McMuffin meal . The hash browns are always the best but I fancied mini hash browns too so had them too . I enjoyed it and hardly ever go so no regrets . Even when I take Ds as a treat I don’t usually fancy anything other than a coffee .

It's all very well sneering MN bingo but the OP just ate three adult meals😲.

Exactly this. ^ What are people cheering the OP on for? Confused I am not obsessed with dieting or being a teeny tiny eater, but eating 3 full adult meals in one go suggests some kind of issue with eating. In addition, it's not good or healthy, and it's nothing to be proud of.

'It's only once' a few people have said. Once or twenty times, it's still an excessive amount, and is it really once? If so, why ??? Why eat that much? Confused

So @Itsfridayforgiveyourself in response to your thread title YANBU, you should be disgusted with yourself. (You did ask.......) Also, to the mockers, deriders, and 'leave the OP alone'-ers, she DID ASK! Hmm

Not judging but I am awe that anyone could eat all that in one sitting.

Not judging 🤣🤣

I judge your alleged non judgmental post.

I expect you would be full from 3 chips and a small side salad 🙄

Oh do grow up. People are entitled to different opinions you know. Hmm

thiccapricot · 25/11/2022 20:42

Me and my boyfriend always get the same order to share - 20 nuggets, cheese burger and chips & a bottle of water. (Somehow the water makes me feel like I’m being good as I’m swerving the sugary drinks 😂)

katepilar · 25/11/2022 20:42

Why are you feeling disguasted is the question. No need for it ;)

The irony in your post is breathtaking. Having a go at @MissAmbrosia for merely saying she couldn't eat that much, and ending up deriding and mocking her yourself! You are no better than the people you pour scorn on with so-called 'mumsnet bingo.' Hmm

LuckySantangelo35 · 25/11/2022 20:44

How do you not feel sick and bloated eating like a chicken Mayo, and two cheese burgers ?!

RiderOfTheBlue · 25/11/2022 20:45

All these people who are shocked/disgusted at the "excessive" amount OP has eaten...do you never indulge in anything? Never have a couple more glasses of wine than you should on a night out? Or is that acceptable "excess"? Why are people so revolted at the thought of someone eating more than they would? It's weird.

MostTacticalNameChange · 25/11/2022 20:45

Did someone say CAMEMBERT DIPPERS? I have ever heard of these. DC love McDs but i'm veggie and don't like the new veg dippers or the mcplant so only get fries. If there's camembert there, the kids might get a treat tomorrow!!

Yeah, I hate supporting a global, capitalist, murderous company that poisons our kids but I am a completely fickle and self-serving hypocrite.

NippyWoowoo · 25/11/2022 20:46

McDs burgers are small anyway

MissAmbrosia · 25/11/2022 20:46

Jeez - I am fat and definitely not full after a lettuce leaf. I honestly couldn't eat 3 burgers though. A normal cheeseburger and a side of chicken nuggets maybe....

I don’t think she ate 3 adult meals though? A meal would be the burger, chips and a drink. The OP got the burgers but no chips and only 1 drinks. So they haven’t eaten 3 full adult meals.

She didn't eat three meals! Also the end of your comment is horrendous and actually says much more about you than it does op.

I love a Maccys but a Big Mac and fries/Diet Coke is enough.
Surely those extra calories aren't going to have been worth it when your clothes don't fit any more?? How can you actually eat that much, don't you feel sick after all that? I'd say we like a decent size portion in our house, but 3 burgers just sounds like binge eating to me??? BTW I come in as overweight/obese on the BMI charts, I'm not a skinny person

And I'm an ok weight but still on occasion I like to eat more than one burger and no fries.
It's not like the burgers are enormous at maccies.

Spanisheomellletttes · 25/11/2022 20:48

I will never regret the one time DH and I went for a late-night drink to McDonalds where we were offered 4 complete meals for free because some people who had been there just before us couldn't pay. It was either give it to us or throw it out. We gorged ourselves silly. And then because of morning sickness it came back up later. Noice

NippyWoowoo · 25/11/2022 20:48

PlasticTatMNBingo · 25/11/2022 19:48

Will we play Mumsnet bingo?

-Grim
-Vile
-How can you even call that food?
-My strapping 6ft DH can't even finish a whole burger
-My children would choose a massive salad over a McDonald's.

An actual quote from here once was 'I'd struggle to finish a Big Mac'

I've eaten all that before (or equivalent) and I'm a size 10. It's all about balance over the week not about restricting all the time. One blow out doesn't make people overweight.

baxtersm · 25/11/2022 20:34

Wait, why is nobody commenting on the fact her 6 month old had a Happy meal?? Don't get me wrong my kids get plenty of Mcdonalds etc but a happy meal for a 6 month old? Is that even possible?

Bc she said she's NOT 6 mo. Read it again.

NippyWoowoo · 25/11/2022 20:50

Herejustforthisone · 25/11/2022 20:14

I think I’d vom after all that. Probably just form the salt.

Bingo!

DillDanding · 25/11/2022 20:50

I call bullshit. How could one person eat a big Mac, a Mcchicken sandwich, and a cheeseburger? I am not averse to pigging out but that is ludicrous. And I simply do not believe someone would buy a 6-month old a happy meal.

WithIcePlease · 25/11/2022 20:51

No chips??
Just wondering here!

kateandme · 25/11/2022 20:51

You've just made your dreams come true.if it didn't live up to it puscht who cares.yiuve wanted to do it so good on you.
Food isn't going to make you a sinner and isn't evil.
It can be had for mental or physical hunger.both as important as the other.now you listened to it you won't always be wondering!
Food guilt.ouch.and then food guilt over McDonald's.nah.we need to work on our society we really do.
