Black Friday Massive Discounts

I have become extremely cynical about Black Fridays and sales in general when stores wheel out their unsold tat and mark it down fractionally expecting us to snap it up with abandon, years ago I stopped bothering.

But my goodness the sales this year for Black Friday have been amazing. I have saved hundreds buying my xmas presents yesterday and today, genuine savings. I am trying to now organise a few things for birthdays for next year because the prices are so good.

I am worried though. Retail must be expecting some very hard times in the near future if they slashing prices by this much. I am not complaining though.

Biggest bargains I've had this year have been buying second hand on facebook for the kids. Honestly we've saved hundreds doing it this year on stuff that we were planning to get them anyway. My only annoyance is that I've been buying brand new for so long!

I havent seen anything yet.

I brought some christmas gifts around a month ago and I noted a book for DD was 2.99. Its now on sale for 3.99 after a month of being 4.99.

The GLTC had a bigger sale a month ago - theres nothing particularly new.

The ASOS sale is all tat.

I wistfully recall boxing days sales as a teen, walking round clutching my christmas money in the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre to snap up a bargain.

Yeh but you can tell stuff is second hand. People don't clean it etc. Can't be arsed with the faff

No they didn't they had 25% as usual. This is 40% off and there's a fair amount of nice Xmas stuff in so that is just nonsense your spouting

I saved £250 on a bike for my daughter (wanted a specific one). we spent £15 replacing the handle grips and pedals and it looks brand new. The owners had looked after it really well. 100% worth "the faff" My daughter is 4 if it has a few scuffs on it she's honestly not going to bat an eyelid, she will just be over the moon to have her first big girl bike

I am def NOT a John Lewis rep or whatever 😂
I am an early Christmas shopper and I am annoyed because the bargains this year are so good, I should have waited!!

My Mum's dressing gown is much cheaper now than it was when I bought it and it is too late to take back - things like that. So I wish I had waited.

I tend to think all of these 'events' are a sales ploys and barely take any notice usually but this year I have seen genuine savings, and big savings at that.
