Spent 2.5 hours cooking and not even a thank you

AIBU to spend 2.5 hours cooking Sunday dinner and expect a thank you? Both my DC say thank you for dinner and help clear up. Barely a grunt from DH, let alone a thank you. You'd at least be polite after someone had gone to the trouble to cook for you wouldn't you?

Dh cooks, I might comment that I've enjoyed the meal, but thanking him; no! But on the other hand he never thanks me for ironing his clothes, cleaning the bathrooms, having a clean bed to get into, coming home to a clean and tidy house etc.

If it's bothered you that much say something.

Yanbu. Dh thanks me when I heat up a tin of soup, requiring minimal effort

That's a shame for you and those you may be cooking for. Good meals are worth time.

It seems that my time is worth more than your time😂

From ethnic offense to soon to be best roast competition, this thread has it all😂

Who knew my thread could get quite so controversial!

Rude.

We always say thank you to who ever cooked.

Yes it's very rude. As rude as a rude thing.
