Clean beans v the filthy's

Ok....

Two groups of friends, independent of each other, differing opinions:

Set one (let's call them 'the filthy's')
Belief: Feet are 'self-washing' ie by virtue of just standing in the shower, feet are washed (self cleaned) by the bubbles from shower gel flowing over and around the feet (no interaction required)

Set two - (and we'll call them 'the clean beans')
Belief: feet (and soles of feet and nails) need active washing/cleaning, not just passive bubbles flowing over the top and around

YANBU the clean beans
YABU the filthy's

But if you exercise or sweat they do! Feet sweat and smell and if you don't wash in between toes you can get fluff off socks stuck there, sweat etc

Am already looking forward to Carol and Janet's exasperated views...

Eek, I mean stick together in shape, not with gunk! 😅😅

@CosmopolitanPlease to be fair filthy is an adjective so there isn't really a plural

Whether they are made up from adjectives or not, plurals follow rules and never involve apostrophes.

Typical of the type of journalist who does these types of thread though, isn’t it? I can already see tomorrow’s DM online.

@LucySno agree; I’d rather mushrooms grow between my toes that misuse an apostrophe.

Just to be suuuuper pedantic, some plurals do use apostrophes.
