What do I ask father Christmas to put in a stocking for a 10 month old boy please?

I know I'm hijacking AIBU and I know some people baulk and the talk of santa and have always told their children the truth.

But hey ho I'm asking anyway please hit me with some ideas as I'm stuck.

Bath toys are always a good choice at that age!

When they are that little I just fill it with premade bottles of formula 🤣

Matilda1981 · 13/11/2022 20:50

You don’t even get a stocking for them at that age 🤣

Harrysnippleno3 · 13/11/2022 20:51

I don't want to upset you OP as this is clearly your first baby, but it's time you knew the truth...

You don't ask Santa, you ARE Santa!!

ncncncnc123 · 13/11/2022 20:51

Fill it with stuff you'll be buying anyway! Like 9-12m vests and other clothes. Teethers. Sudocrem 😂 that sort of thing

Hello12345678910 · 13/11/2022 20:57

Mines got squeaky/rattly/crinkly toy things (perfect hand sized shape) that I got from the baby section at bnm
A couple of that's not my books
Bath toys
Personalised Xmas decs I got from the garden centre
A small jelly cat gingerbread man
Chocolate coins (that will obviously be eaten by me 😂) & that's about it! He will be 8 months at Xmas :)

DontSpeakLatinInFrontOfTheBooks · 13/11/2022 20:57

Socks
feeding spoons
dummies (if they use them)
teether toy
board book
sippy cup

Basically, the stuff I’d get anyway.

LT2 · 13/11/2022 20:57

Mine is getting:
Touchy feely books
Suction spinners
Cuddly toy
Wind instruments (he loves to 'play' the recorder🙂)
A ball bath toy

Yes babies don't know it's Christmas but nobody buys toys all year round (do they!?) so christmas is a good time to top up on toys...

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13/11/2022 20:58

Little books

Thank you. Never heard of a suction spinner, off to Google.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions from everyone.

Of course some people buy toys all year round, just because you don't.

My parents never bought toys apart from birthday/christmas, which for me was the same bloody month, i hated it!

I buy things for my children all year, but then christmas is very small, 1 thing from santa, 3 or 4 from us and then whatever from family.

LT2 · 14/11/2022 08:22

@Youcancallmeirrelevant exactly my point. Not everyone buys toys all year round, same as not everyone just buys toys at Christmas and birthdays. I personally do toy share/rotations with a friend so my baby doesn't have the same toys all year round. Works well as baby doesn't get bored with the same toys and better still it's free!

ThatDreamSheep · 14/11/2022 08:24

We got a Nuby surprise box and individually wrapped all the bits in it

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 14/11/2022 08:25

I don’t think I’d be doing a stocking at that age.

Bath toys are a good idea. Also little wooden musical instruments

MrsTimRiggins · 14/11/2022 08:27

Definitely bath toys. Vests in the next size up, a cute outfit for the day, a new winter coat if needed, a stupid Christmas woolly hat
Definitely no bloody soft toys 😂
