What do I ask father Christmas to put in a stocking for a 10 month old boy please?

I know I'm hijacking AIBU and I know some people baulk and the talk of santa and have always told their children the truth.

But hey ho I'm asking anyway please hit me with some ideas as I'm stuck.

@MrsTimRiggins my 10 month oldest favourite toy at the minute is a soft toy! It's a soft snake that we won on a claw grab machine - that, and a ball are his favourite toys right now - simple toys win😄

Stuff they need eg socks, new cup, new toothbrush, a book, first crayons maybe, small doll or teddy. Don't overthink it - most of my DD's first Christmas presents were hand me downs from a friend

sthonore · 14/11/2022 08:42

I got my babies rattles/teethers, tiny books, bamboo cutlery/bowl, funny bibs, happy land people and nice baby leggings when they were tiny. I miss them as babies so much - enjoy it

Lots of threads about stocking ideas on the Christmas board.

Small teddy
Clothes (could be something they need anyway)
Board books
A special bauble

I reckon. My boy’s is a dog soft toy (or one of his many tractors)… but ime you get so many given to you by friends and relatives, I think it’s not the best idea to buy them yourself. Nothing against them personally 😆

MMAMPWGHAP · 14/11/2022 09:05

Stuff you already have. Eg Hand me downs. Second hand stuff. Charity shop stuff.

LT2 · 14/11/2022 09:29

@MrsTimRiggins yeah, fair enough. My MIL gave me a cuddly toy recently (it's a specific animal that I love!) and when the baby showed an interest she said she'd buy him one too. He has enough already!

I haven't thought fully yet (my LO will be almost 9 months!) But I did see some Organix baby ginger bread people biscuits and they will definitely be going in! Haha!

TheOpportuneMoment · 14/11/2022 11:16

DS will be almost 1 at Christmas. He's getting a stocking or his older brother will wonder why Santa didn't give him one! In it so far will be:

Toot toot car
Flashing ball
Bath crayons
Wooden caterpillar toy
Sensory glow stick
Bath toy
Socks
Wooden clacker/instrument thing
Packet of chocolate buttons
Some baby biscuits/veggie straws

Might add in some crazy soap/new sippy cup if it needs to be fuller.

Rosesandstars · 14/11/2022 11:20

Small soft toys (maybe a 'first christmas' teddy) and 'Happyland' people?
