Does anyone else have the thing where there is a thread that is active and then you leave your advice/response and the thread just stops and nobody else replies after you!?

OP posts:
luxxlisbon · 10/11/2022 18:47

You killed the thread.

DutchessOfMuck · 10/11/2022 18:49

Nearly always. I am the ultimate thread killer 😂

AuntieDickhead · 10/11/2022 18:52

Yep. Quite often. Or I give a reply, someone else comes along and says the same thing and then gets loads of "oh yea. Great advice" replies. Completely ignoring me. Maybe I'm invisible.

All the time 🤣

PicaNewName · 10/11/2022 19:02

Can I just join and try to kill this one, too? 😁

DianaBarry5 · 10/11/2022 19:03

I've killed loads of threads over the years! 🤷‍♀️

user1477249785 · 10/11/2022 19:04

Mine is that I join and then it's subsequently deleted two posts later.

mothertrucking · 10/11/2022 19:05

Just popping by to stop your thread right now

IneedcoffeeinanIV · 10/11/2022 19:05

YES! Hahahaha. I assumed it was just a fault. Apparently I am also a thread killer. At least we are not alone

Just popping by to stop your thread right now

Knowing how it feels I will make sure that will never happen although it could result in a long running thread in order of reassuring ourselves Grin

MrsGamgee · 10/11/2022 19:20

Yep, I'm a great thread killer 😁 either that or no one responds to most of my posts. I'm clearly not one of the popular MNetters!

pitypartyforone 🍷

SallyWD · 10/11/2022 19:24

Yes! I thought it was just me 😂

AFS1 · 10/11/2022 19:25

Yes! Has definitely happened to me!

Cw112 · 10/11/2022 19:26

I think that means you won mumsnet?

Greengr · 10/11/2022 19:49

Yes me!😂

I get this in real life too 😕
Like I want to say out loud when I’m with friends having coffee “Actually Melissa, it was me that said to do it that way not Sally” as Sally is, yet again, being praised for her good idea.
I’ve pretty much given up suggesting anything in work meetings too.
The invisible woman over here will now save ^ from being this thread killer.
You're welcome 😉

Keyansier · 10/11/2022 20:28

Literally hear everything everyone is saying on this thread. Nobody will be ignored here.

Is it because you can be a little abrupt?

Doormatnomore · 10/11/2022 21:20

I was just looking at the threads I’m on sections and so many time my wee name is left.

PrincessofWellies · 10/11/2022 21:20

Yes, I'm like the kiss of death to a thread 🤣

Oysterbabe · 10/11/2022 21:23

It's because your contribution just absolutely nails it and no one can beat it.

No, it happens with everyone

Well, you do have a bit of a noticeable, er, style.
