Brie is a disappointing cheese...AIBU?

Just had some on a crusty roll for lunch. TBF just had covid so everything tastes a bit weird. But Brie just doesn't taste as good as it used to. Sort of bland and gloopy. Have I just grown out of it?

Cambazola -blue Brie - is nice, I think.

Brie on crusty bread must be topped with some sweet, red grapes. lovely.

I love brie, but I generally prefer milder cheeses anyway.

I love brie, but not on it's own. My two favourite sandwiches are brie and cranberry sauce or brie and caramelised onion jam.

Did you have it with cranberry sauce?

Neufchâtel is a good bit stronger than brie, but it's delicious. DH brought some back from France (he's French), and we ate it with some baguette and a nice red wine. Only way to eat cheese, according to DH.

Brie is lovely with bacon in a panino.

I like Brie when it is well after its best before date and practically running off the board.

@BarrelOfOtters may I suggest Le Pie D'angloys as an alternative in the same price bracket it is very good cheese for the price you pay and far better than standard Brie

again 100% agree but it is very expensive I think £5 to £6 for a little round ...so much more of a treat but quality over quantity with cheese I say ...

I'm eating Bishop Bigod this week, which is a bit like Brie on steroids. Its not cheap but very tasty if you can find it.

It needs to be served at room/warm temperature. Great in the summer when you can leave it out for the evening and then mid evening its just right

The house is too cold for serving it now at room temperature
