I'll save my gratitude for the scientists, doctors, nurses, other medical professionals, human trial guinea pigs, care home workers and volunteer army. My heart still breaks thinking of the people who died in the line of service, helping a greater good, and who weren't mourned properly, because their loved ones followed the rules.
People always hate politicians - it's why, for example, anyone who served as PM gets such a big public spending allowance for security - but there are some politicians who I don't think I'll ever forgive based on their behaviour during lockdown. I'm not saying Matt Hancock is the only one I can't stand, but he's right up there, and he'd have to be pretty stupid not to realise that a lot of people have similar views.
For a small fee, why wouldn't you vote to make someone like that eat bushtucker trial food and get covered by creepy crawlies?
I think to go on a challenge like I'm A Celeb, you either have to genuinely not be bothered by any of the gross stuff (I think that would be a very small minority!), believe you're popular enough to not get voted to do any of it (who is that confident?) or to want to subject yourself to that ordeal, because you think you deserve it (not convinced he fits into this category).
