I’ll start:

Otrivine for colds

Clinique lash power - amazing mascara that stays on all day with no smudging

Silicone ear plugs - they even block out DHs snoring!

Seconded on the Sudafed!

I always get colds going onto my chest and I found sudafed makes that worse for me. Annoying because it really clears a stuffy nose.

Using the recommended programme on my very cheap washing machine rather than using the same setting for everything

Nike carbon plate trainers (I can't even remember what version I got Blush I think they're alphafly) I definitely run faster in them!

Yes it is prescription much stronger than what you find in boots etc. I believe its a form of retinoin. I had fine wrinkles above my eye brows and crows feet. They are still there but more smoothed out. Complexion is much brighter and aging sun spots mostly gone. I've uploaded maybe better . Again no makeup and in natural light.

If you want a referral code, pm me for a discount!

I don't understand how you can give a referal code if it needs to be prescribed

Haha exactly! Just different lighting and slightly different angle

Yep sorry Cookie Dough but I can't see any difference either. You don't seem to have lines on either picture.

Bigyellowuber · 01/11/2022 22:53

Turtle doves cashmere hand warmers. They male a huge difference when I'm working at home.

perseverence · 01/11/2022 23:05

Marriage.

Totally outdated institution.

Tried it once. Not fit for purpose for women.

Not sure it is for men either but since this is mumsnet let's stick to that.

Forgot method daily shower cleaner, the passion fruit one smells good too. No choking on fumes when you spray it!

Barman's friend powder. Amazing for getting stains out of kitchen worktops

Crispsmakemehappy · 01/11/2022 23:34

@PeloFondo amazing difference!! Googling and ordering this pronto! Can it be used for crows feet? I’m 36 but looking 90

It travels so I wouldn't apply it directly and not to under eye but it seems to be ok for me - I do use a retinol eye serum too

CookieDoughKid · 02/11/2022 06:39

@Whitegrenache I buy from Dermatica. They start you off on very low concentration and every formula is custom to your skin specifically. Here is my referral code for anyone who wishes to try it. We get £5 credit each!

This has made me think. When I bought my washing machine last year I found a setting which isn’t too long and the spin cycle works well and I’ve been using that for everything. I’m wondering if most people do this.

Dr. Scholl's Pain Relief Orthotics Insoles for Plantar Fasciitis. Went from crippling pain to happy in a day - magic!

CookieDoughKid · 02/11/2022 06:55

@Needesppressonow thank you :) @LynetteScavo and others, for those who say they don’t see much difference. I used to have fine lines around my eyes and on my temple. Not deep crows feet but definitely noticeable with aging process given that I’m in my mid 40s. I wish I took better photos from before I started treatment but I’m crap at taking close up selfies. The fines lines have smoothed out and the skin has got thicker. You know how you press aging skin, it feels thin like a deflated pillow? Well my skin has got thicker, imagine a pillow with extra feathers. And this has really helped smoothen the surface of my overall complexion. In addition, my formula is custom, so Dermatica prescribed Niacinamide 4% / Azelaic Acid 4% as well, which fades melasma, sun spots caused by sun damage and breakouts. Honestly, my friends always comment how amazing my skin is now. I wish I worked for Dermatica!

Also, I should mention sunscreen. I use minimum spf 30 daily as a moisturiser, I use Khiels Ultra Facial. It is sooo good especially with constant change in temperature, heating on etc…my skin gets dry, and Khiels just helps prevent issues and irritation.

CookieDoughKid · 02/11/2022 06:59

@CombatBarbie I believe it’s actually a £5 credit in your basket. It’s a custom formula but the price of the formula (it’s a cream) is reduced when Dermatica applies the credit. You complete a survey and provide pictures of your skin. Hope that helps. Such treatment takes minimum 4 months for noticeable effects so you do have to be patient. Although I saw results after 12 weeks.

Those of you using Tret, does it work for hormonal acne?

Well not blooming Ronseal. Their wood hardener noticeably failed to do what it said on the tin. <grumble grumble>

Yeah but would it seal a 'Ron'? Then it would do what it says on the tin.

Find a Ron and see if it makes him waterproof.

@Peccary yes I believe they do. See photos here from their customers. Although their dermatologists will provide the best (and most qualified) advice:

I’m not doubting that you’ve seen excellent results with this product and I’m glad you’re happy, but from an outsider’s point of view I honestly can’t tell which of the pix you uploaded are before with the “problem” or after with the “problem fixed!”Grin

@CookieDoughKid - really sorry but I can't see any difference in your pictures. You look great in them both... but what is the difference?

Yes, apologies but I agree. You look great in both but I can't see a difference!
