In thinking this tattoo flash is awful?

Just saw an advert on FB for a local Tattoo studio doing Halloween flash for charity. I love tattoos, love Halloween and it's for charity. Brilliant.

These are the tattoos on offer.

I know tattoos are very subjective but I don't know anyone who would want one of these!

I'm not the only one who thinks this as someone else had commented 'you must be taking the piss/this can't be real??!'

They're cheap, £31 for Halloween. But surely just a small pumpkin outline, witches hat etc would go down better?!

Is the idea that they get temporary or permanent tattoos?

AllMyExesWearRolexes · 28/10/2022 21:24

You're not wrong, they're gopping beyond my powers of description.

DeltaAlphaDelta79 · 28/10/2022 21:24

If they wwre going to be coloured in as well, for the price, some might be "not bad" for the money, but on their own they look crap. And that's coming from someone who has more than one crap flash designs tattooed on them.

Magnumb · 28/10/2022 21:25

I don't think they're coloured, no. As is. Just outlines.

To each their own!

Then no, absolutely crap!

PunchDrunkTurtle · 28/10/2022 21:26

That is 31 pounds too much money.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 28/10/2022 21:27

I like the Prom Queen one.

But it’s an old movie and the effects haven’t aged well. Not sure it ‘current’.

The one next to it looks like Mr Burns had his face squashed in a lift.

AuntieDickhead · 28/10/2022 21:28

I have no idea what a flash tattoo is. But they are awful.

Branleuse · 28/10/2022 21:29

30 quid is fuck all for a tattoo so maybe its an apprentice.
Theyre shit. Intentional ironic shittoos are a thing.

StoneofDestiny · 28/10/2022 21:32

Heavens - if that costs £31 - how much do people pay to have their whole arms and legs covered in coloured in ones! Do they take out second mortgages?

Muddywaters1 · 28/10/2022 21:32

These are pretty awful full stop. Our local studio has a gorgeous selection of flash for their walk in day. If I wasnt booked in to start my sleeve soon, then I'd have been popping along to grab one!

Basecamp · 28/10/2022 21:32

I don't understand why Mr Burns is there and who/what is the other character meant to be?!

Yeah they're absolutely awful. I wouldn't even have one if they paid me a substantial sum!

user1473878824 · 28/10/2022 21:33

They’re terrible!

dementedpixie · 28/10/2022 21:33

This is the flash offered by my local place

Nope. It's by the main artists. It states the artists names.

They are pretty bad even for just space fillers. Neither imaginative nor well drawn. Are his bigger pieces or finished tattoos even worse?

girlmom21 · 28/10/2022 21:41

They're really poorly drawn

Changingplace · 28/10/2022 21:44

What’s a tattoo flash?

I’d say they look like they’ve been drawn by a 6 year old, but that would be rude to 6 year olds.

Magnumb · 28/10/2022 21:45

Tattoo flash just means tattoo designs. It's the stuff you see on the walls at tattoo studios. Designs to choose from.

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 28/10/2022 21:46

Flash is predrawn designs rather than a tattoo that is designed for an individual.

MadelineUsher · 28/10/2022 21:47

Why are people who can't draw setting themselves up as tattoo artists - where the ink is permanent on someone's skin!

Cuppasoupmonster · 28/10/2022 21:48

PMSL it took me about 5 seconds to realise it’s mr burns

Branleuse · 28/10/2022 21:48

Its when a tattoist has a few design ideas with a set price. Usually so you get an idea of their work and pick something theyve already designed and drawn up, rather than a custom piece
