In thinking this tattoo flash is awful?

Just saw an advert on FB for a local Tattoo studio doing Halloween flash for charity. I love tattoos, love Halloween and it's for charity. Brilliant.

These are the tattoos on offer.

I know tattoos are very subjective but I don't know anyone who would want one of these!

I'm not the only one who thinks this as someone else had commented 'you must be taking the piss/this can't be real??!'

They're cheap, £31 for Halloween. But surely just a small pumpkin outline, witches hat etc would go down better?!

This really makes me want to post details of tattoo artists that are actually good.

Why is the teletubby sun baby in there?

They're all absolutely horrible. I have two autumn/Halloween themed tattoos but would never want anything like those, they're dreadful.

Charity tattoos - whatever next.

I don't think anyone should be encouraged to make the decision to get a tattoo on the basis it's for charity. Permanently marking your body should be a bit more thought out and entirely the uninfluenced decision of the person getting it done.

And yes all those designs are awful.

Maybe they’ve made them shit so no one wants one and they don’t have to do a tattoo for free. All to look like they’re doing good for charity.

They are sodding awful. I'd avoid that shop forever if that's their standard of work

A good tattoo isn’t cheap and a cheap tattoo isn’t good about covers that.

However, I work with a girl (quite young, teens still) who bought a tattoo thing from online and she and her friend tattooed each other. This might be here as their work is not dissimilar. I thought it was madness.

It’s £30 though. It’s pennies in the tattoo world. You get what you pay for here.

Also some people do really like that kind of vintage basic flash look so there will be people that like it. I know people with what I consider to be poor tattoos that are purposely simple for the aesthetic.

I quite like the small black cat on this flash. It's simple, but good.

But the others are a bit shit.

That grating sound you can hear is the bottom of the the now saturated tattoo market barrel being scraped.

People willingly pay for shit tattoos all the time.

It took me a while to realise that was Mr Burns.

Call me a tatt snob, but I don’t know why anyone would do something so permanent on a whim. Or have a design that’s so generic. It took me ages to (pluck up courage) make up my mind about what I wanted, then I asked the artist to help me design it.

Slightly less revolting than the coloured ones.

I’m not saying this is vintage. But some vintage flash is, in my mind, basic as fuck. Some people like it. I don’t but they do, I bet there’ll be a few people walking about with some of these designs on them next week 😂

I have a number of tattoos, but those are truly awful! Although there does seem to be a want for These flash tattoos atm. I have a few teens who work with me and they have them.

Six years ago the rate was £250 a day for a good artist. My DD paid £625 for a large thigh tattoo. It was nearly a three day sitting.

Puts me in mind of Mandy's tattoo portfolio in This Country.
