Really feel good films

I am so hungover today, got a presentation tomorrow which I am dreading, however, I am prepared for it. I am going to order a take away today and totally chill, drink lots of water and have a long shower tonight hoping I wake up feeling better tomorrow, or at least less anxious.

I need some feel good films along the lines of the blindside, the help, the pursuit of happiness etc.

Could anyone please recommend?

How about 'Michael' starring John Travolta.

Most of them rubbish but I love Christmas films. Nothing better than switching to one of the Christmas channels when I have the remote to myself.

Thank you so much re Jack and Sarah! Love love love that film and not been able to find it anywhere. That's today sorted 👍

HollyBollyBooBoo · 23/10/2022 13:10

Princess Bride - what a classic!

Willow I also like.

loverofpants · 23/10/2022 13:33

When Harry met Sally or Singing in the Rain are my go to when I feel like this! Good luck with the presentation

I watched Muriel's Wedding for the first time recently and I just don't get it. And I LOVE Toni Collette.

Needhelp101 · 23/10/2022 13:43

Pride!

Heartwarming, hilarious and based on a true story. If you don't see the closing credits through a haze of happy tears, you're not human.

Parrotpretty · 23/10/2022 13:47

I'm watching the original "the patent trap" love it

I watched The son of Rambow the other day and thought that was a lovely feel good film, currently on Netflix.

I absolutely LOVE ‘The Holiday’. I can watch it all year round.
He’s just not that in to you - another favourite.
It’s complicated - love Meryl Streep and Steve Martin
The Out of Towners - Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn.
Overboard - Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

I do watch quality films too - these are ones that I watch when I feel a bit ‘bleugh’

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/10/2022 14:05

I have the perfect film if you're feeling low and have a presentation you need to deliver on tomorrow where the protagonist is initially downtrodden but emerges from the flames like a phoenix arising and wins at life and everything:

Muriel's Wedding.

Love love love Muriel's Wedding. Toni Collette is just brilliant in it. "You're terrible Muriel..." 🤣🤣

OhAmBackAgain · 23/10/2022 14:19
