Could you get the kids a selection box and maybe put a scratch card in a family card? Or you can buy make your own crackers quite cheaply and in the past, I’ve made families their Christmas crackers for Christmas Day with party fillers in them and a personalised joke or task ie send me a selfie of you being Rudolph on Christmas Day :)

You could do your own 'family gift'

A box (free if use a cardboard one covered in wrapping paper)

Insert, hot chocolate, marshmallows, maybe a mug each (£1 ones from b&m or somewhere) popcorn, popcorn boxes (amazon/eBay) sweets.

Dress it up as Xmas film night box

Covers the whole
Family but if you buy on Amazon in bulk for most things and seperate out into little bags wouldn't cost much for the whole family.

Thank you for the lovely ideas. Took stuff back yesterday and feeling better for it.
Saw a mega tin of Italian biscuits which we'll get for the family we're seeing over Christmas.

Family games seems a popular choice, so have ordered Pass the bomb for family A (couldn't find pass the pig). Thank you @ranoutofquinoaandprosecco .
Also, guessing 'box of Xbox's' was meant to be box of chocs?

Thank you @EstellaRijnveld for the link.

Family B will also get a big box of chocs or biscuits.
