Camembert?

We're having a picky tea. Freezer bits and a baked Camembert with crusty bread.

Dh is digging in but I'm sat here thinking I could probs scoff the whole thing

Could you? What's your greedy pig go to?

Jaffa cakes. You're meant to eat the whole pack in one go, right?

YES.

I get shopping delivered, my carer takes the delivery and if there are Jaffa cakes he hides them because he knows I will eat the lot. BTW I'm quite happy about this, it is so satisfying when I find them.

Packet of custard creams.

Thorntons caramel shortcake bites. I actually have a bag of milky way stars and a big toblerone that I bought Friday morning but haven't touched yet (this is very surprising!).

As a lone parent this makes me laugh! "I can’t possibly manage to make a meal without my husband to help"

As has already been pointed out, this wasn't what the poster said.

Nothing to do with needing help to cook. Not at all sure where you got that irrelevant point from?

mamabear715 · 16/10/2022 12:39

@JennyForeigner Yes, re the palm oil.
I can STILL (in my memory) taste a proper Rowntrees aero. Oh, BLISS. Nowadays, it's like sucking plastic. Weep.

wimp if you don't

Dried sultanas ! I cannot stop once I've started. Soreen malt loaf thickly buttered, After Eights from the fridge at Christmas, good crisps (current fave is the posh Co-Op Sea salt and Chardonnay vinegar ones). Cannot have any of these things in the house.

Used to be the OG Walnut Whip with the Walnut Inside, but thick hot buttered toast with crumbly Cheshire Cheese and a drizzle of Manuka Honey with black pepper is the go now. Hits all my childhood craves.

Carvery. I can easily finish one of those piled up plates and want seconds. If I was allowed up for another round or could take 2 plates I'd be unstoppable.

I’m the same it’s so satisfying

Could eat a loaf of tiger bread in a few hours with salty butter maybe Brie

whole pack of Jaffa cakes is easy peasy lemon squeezy

those loaf cakes raspberry jam with coconut, banana loaf, Jamaican ginger cake can easily finish these in an afternoon 😳

Never feel the desire to binge on fruit or vegetables (apart from potatoes prepared in various ways)
