Camembert?

We're having a picky tea. Freezer bits and a baked Camembert with crusty bread.

Dh is digging in but I'm sat here thinking I could probs scoff the whole thing

Could you? What's your greedy pig go to?

Ooo I could do a Camembert and a fresh baguette all day long 😍😍😍

Jo586 · 15/10/2022 18:59

Yes, technically I could , but the 700 calories from the cheese alone would mean that I know that is not a sensible thing to do.

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 15/10/2022 19:00

Cheese and crisps for me. It's like man v food but I just can't help myself!

WingingItSince1973 · 15/10/2022 19:00

I'm addicted to popcorn. Mainly salted caramel or failing that sweet and salty. I mean a whole share bag. I shovel it in like it's a drug. My husband even caught me eating it in the bathroom while waiting for the bath to fill up!

Sensible ? SENSIBLE ???

We are talking about indulgence.

I wouldn't bake the cheese, just eat it thickly sliced on a warm baguette covered in slices of very cold butter.

Ferrero Rocher

Putdownthecake · 15/10/2022 19:06

Nippynopnop · 15/10/2022 18:37

Could probs eat a whole warm baguette though, with good salty butter. Yum.

Yes! Especially sourdough!

Riapia · 15/10/2022 19:13

A whole pan of beef stew.

I have done, on more than one occasion.

Vergingontheridiculous · 15/10/2022 19:13

@VladmirsPoutine have you tried the Piper's jalapeño and dill ones?

MendaciousMabel · 15/10/2022 19:14

Haribo I'll scoff an entire bag within minutes. I'm getting older now and feel sick when I do these days 😂

Also matchmakers - there's hardly any in the box I swear!

FridayNightWinner · 15/10/2022 19:15

Chocolate digestives and a cup of tea. Is there really any point eating a few and putting the pack back, who in the fresh hell does that 😅

Mumsgirls · 15/10/2022 19:15

I ate loads of Camembert once. Put me in hospital with gall bladder pain. Had to stay in a week for scan . Later had it removed.
Still love camembert though lol

VladmirsPoutine · 15/10/2022 19:16

@Vergingontheridiculous Thank you! I'll definitely give them a go but the UK has a severe lack of dill pickle crisps and I can't understand why. They're such superior crisps!

KnittingAuntie · 15/10/2022 19:17

I've just remembered that I ate half a tub of custard a few days ago . . . the 'use by' date was for the next day so I used that as an excuse!!!!
I should stay away from the fridge really, particularly after the remains of a roast dinner have been stashed away with plans for leftovers the next day . . . cold roast potatoes and slivers of chicken are another weakness!!!

OneTC · 15/10/2022 19:18

Oh yeah maltesers. Once ate 1kg

tootsierubs · 15/10/2022 19:18

Cadbury chocolate fingers. Mmmm

DownAtTheBodyShop · 15/10/2022 19:19

You know the big share bags of Maltesers? Demolished.

Favouritefruits · 15/10/2022 19:19

I just ate most of a packet of custard creams, I’m not even that keen on them.

I once ate an entire Waitrose essential tiramisu, it was ace but I felt so sick afterwards.

my own Bruce Bogtrotter moment.

I have done exactly the same, accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco, loved it at the time but 🤢 afterwards 😂

JeanMarie · 15/10/2022 19:22

After Eights. I'm on a strict low fat, low dairy diet ( gallbladder and cholesterol probs) and I don't know how I'll survive Xmas without my customary binge . 😰

Summerfun54321 · 15/10/2022 19:22

I once ate an extra large full cooked breakfast that was so large it had a burger and chips on the side as well.

OneCup · 15/10/2022 19:22

Any cheese and any cured meat although I do feel sick afterwards
