Digestives are not the same as rich tea

Partner says there’s no difference between rich tea and digestive biscuits…

Rich Tea's are often overlooked but they do dunk well.

He is utterly unreasonable to think they are the same. I think you should pack your bags ready to leave in the morning, he's evidently unhinged.

I think they’re both in the same “basic biscuit that’s existed for decades” category. But they’re not the same.

Also want to know his opinion on hobnobs, as someone said earlier.

Team Rich Tea. I can't believe all the hate! They're so deliciously crunchy and light, yet satisfying and substantial at the same time. Need to get me some rich tea biscuits now.

I'm curious about his logic.

Is it because they're both round? In which case, what happens when he encounters a Rich Tea Finger biscuit?

Is it because they're in the same sort of colour bracket? Beige/brown? But then what about shortbread, or ginger nuts...

Or, as a pp said- is it because they're both plain? Does he think a Jacobs Cream Cracker is also the same as a digestive?

I like both but both are very different! Nuts would be hobnobs - choc are amazing
I LOVE malted milk but can’t buy as I eat the packet in one go

I used to think they were the same too. But then I grew up and by about age 6 I knew the important differences of taste, texture and dunkability.

might as well say a Jammie dodger and a bourbon are the same <shakes head>

Mcvities digestive used to be lovely now they taste of nothing, has anybody got a recommendation please, I used to love a plain digestive back in the day 🤷🏻‍♀️
