I can't believe Liz Truss is 47..

Following on from a thread yesterday, I guessed Liz was 56. I was shocked to hear she's a decade younger. I guess I am being unreasonable. It was probably the photo of her having a meeting wearing comfy trainers that did it. How old would you have guessed she was?

And the amount they spend on in-house professional photographers to finesse their Instagram accounts and the like. Truss has spent a fortune of taxpayers' money on shilling her career and image rather than doing the grind of real impactful work.

The thing is she is an idiot as she doesn't have a team to police the comments below the carefully crafted images. Makes MN look like a place of genteel decorous behaviour in comparison.

Maybe OP you need a visit to Barnard Castle. In any case, you can be of any age and still have awful policies costing many people thousands of pounds.

I knew she was mid 40s. That clip of her being anti-monarchist, she was still a teenager or just 20, mid 90s.

Having her shift together enough to run the country WELL, is another matter though.

I think most women we see in the public eye of her age, look younger at first glance, then you look at bit closer and see they’re older.

with truss the opposite is true. At first glance she looks older , but when you look a bit closer, you see she’s a bit younger than you first thought.

But Truss does do exactly that, she models herself on Thatcher, which means she is altering her natural appearance via cloths and makeup, to that of a much older woman, which is why she is attracting these comments.

She doesn't. She just wears clothes. It isn't remotely comparable to Johnson deliberately choosing to mess up his hair and ensure he looked sufficiently dishevelled. There's no comparison at all.

I don't care if she's 25 or 75, she's a horror who should not be in power.

This is what they spend our money on - a video with music on Insta showing her and Kwasi doing 'stuff' - telling that she starts with the PM police motorcade in slo-mo a potent symbol of how important she is and wants to let us know it in no uncertain terms.

I would have said Liz Truss was about 55, but when Tony Blair left number 10 he looked about 90!
John Major was also 47 when he was elected and he looked at least a decade older too.
I guess politics is not the career to go into if you want to stay looking young - probably because it's far too cut throat and stressful, you can't trust anyone.

All I can think of is brilliant achievement especially for a female, at her age. I’ve never once wondered her old she’s tbh. I don’t pay much attention to her looks.

Everyone commented on Boris and how he looked (in a critical way), constantly, I do not think this is any different/sexist. She looks older than she is. Not always well put together either, but marginally better than Bozza.
