AIBU?
What Makes YOU Laugh?
InNeedOfLaughter · 01/10/2022 16:27
I was reading on here some very funny stories by people like, Bob Monkhouse, Ken Dodd, Tommy Cooper etc - Jokes are they a thing of the past - I hope not … they have been a great distraction from all the gloom and doom in the last few days … really liked this one;
If you’re an American 🇺🇸 when you go into the bathroom AND an American when you come out of the bathroom … what are you when you’re in the bathroom?
ANSWER: you’re European (you-r-a-peein)

Mickey Flanagan’s stand up comedy. He’s not for everyone but he really makes me laugh out loud.
SuspiciousDuck · 01/10/2022 17:05
Bob Mortimer on Would I Lie to You. Look it up on YouTube if you’ve never watched him on the show.
Fleabag (see username)
Cats being daft.
not the European joke though - sorry!

theluckiest · 01/10/2022 17:15
This still makes me laugh and I've seen it many, many times
Chikapu · 01/10/2022 17:21
Loads of things, I have a broad sense of humour I think. We're currently watching Still Game for the first time and it's hilarious.
That European joke didn't even raise a smile though.

That is glorious 😂

Lots of things - I’m currently rewatching Up the Women and it’s making me howl (I might just recognise a little bit of myself in Margaret…) and This Country was fab. Also love Mickey Flanagan like a pp mentioned, and this cracks me up every time
I’m besotted with my dog so I also love a good stupid dog video.

Farts
Damn you! I was just typing that.
So obviously Family Guy type of humour for me. 😁
Can't help it. There is a fart I giggle.
Wheelyweddingwipedout · 01/10/2022 17:31
Christmas party Drop the Dead Donkey
I love Jerry and Damien
pinkbowl · 01/10/2022 17:41
Talking bollox with my boyfriend.
Also, people falling over. It's a sickness in me.
RestedDevelopment · 01/10/2022 17:55
I love the like of Terry Pratchett’s wordplay, and absurdity like Monty Python.
Equal measures of cleverness & silliness to appeal to both the adult & child in me.
Crossing a gate by leaning over it with one arm & flipping my legs over it never, ever gets old for me until presumably I get too old to for it
I try not to laugh at my cats falling off things but the utter look of disdain by one (she always looks like she’s arching a highly manicured eyebrow - despite her total lack of eyebrows) cracks me up.
Getting a laugh from the elderly ladies I visit who are as tickled at a ‘young thing’ knowing old sayings as I am at being thought of as a ‘young thing’.
And MN. Not everything on here obvs, but enough to keep me from wanting to burn the whole world down wrt to more serious posts.

SirChenjins · 01/10/2022 18:12
