I have been on sertraline for 5 weeks, I spoke to the doctor yesterday and she advised going up to 75mg and perhaps 100mg if I don't feel any "better" after that.

I am curious, if you are on sertraline, which dose worked for you?
I know it works differently for everyone but trying to get some encouragement that there is a possibility it might help at a higher dose.

Thank you❤

I've been on 50mg for nearly 2 years. Marvellous stuff and I don't want to come off it. It very quickly reduced the physical symptoms of anxiety and also stops the night waking worrying, you know, the kind that literally lifts you out of sleep and whirls the worry round and round your head. Instead now when something troublesome happens I can still sleep through it and my dreams often tackle it instead. I also don't over ruminate. I made an error at work the other day. Nothing major. Previously I would have fretted for days or weeks. I did some minor fretting for that day then was over it. Love the stuff.

Side effects, sometime struggle to get to orgasm. Way round that is to let the orgasm happen the moment I think it will rather than attempt to prolong the pleasure and risk falling off the wave 😁

I love it. I was on this dose for years. Certainly helped me through very bad periods!
Now on a lower dose combined with another a/d and this seems to work well

Only thing is i needed to keep my brand the same. It was a cheapish brand but it couldn’t be changed. I noticed i kept having a change of brand, so i would be sick and down for a few days whilst they kicked, then fine, then 4 weeks later it started all over again.

I started on 50mg too, felt ill for a week then it settled. Currently on 200mg and it's given me my life back. No sickness felt either with each increase.

@madeindevon2 I always wake up early hours of the morning and struggle to sleep feel wired for the first few weeks and I clench my teeth when I do sleep which has resulted in my front tooth moving boohoo that's my only complaints, they do stop eventually, otherwise really good and I eouls advise anyone to stop suffering and get on them!

I went up over a period of a year from 50 to 150mg over 5 years ago now. My mental health is the best it's ever been, 150mg is perfect for me and I may never reduce or come off it. No side effects long term like feeling "out of it" or emotionless, which some people get. Good luck with your mental health journey!

Thanks for starting this thread! I've been on 100mg since the start of December for my anxiety. While it has definitely helped, I do still feel anxious. I asked my doctor if I could increase my dose and she was reluctant - she said the anxiety won't go away until I treat the root cause and suggested I try the NHS online CBT therapy...that was a few weeks ago and I still want to up my dose.

I think I'll push for it again!

Hi!

I’ve actually been on Zoloft (Sertraline) for quite a while now, and I can honestly say it has helped me a lot. At first it took a few weeks before I started to notice real improvements, but once it kicked in, it really made a difference in stabilizing my mood and helping with anxiety. The right dose can definitely vary from person to person, so it makes sense that your doctor suggested adjusting it, for me, finding the right balance was key.

One thing I’d really stress is how important it is to use only high-quality Sertraline. The consistency, effectiveness, and safety really depend on the quality of the medication, and that’s something I don’t compromise on. If it helps, I usually order my Zoloft (Sertraline) here 👉 healway.co.uk/zoloft-sertraline. They’ve always had fast delivery, fair prices, and most importantly, the quality has been excellent every time.

So yes, it can take a little trial and error with the dosage, but don’t get discouraged. It really can work well once you find what suits you best! ❤

Can I please have some positive feedback from others who take sertraline? Been on 50mg for 4 weeks now. Felt a huge improvement around week 2.5, had ten continuous good days where I felt like myself again. The last few days, I feel like the anxiety and helplessness is really creeping back in. Could it be that I need a higher dose? I have my review tomorrow with the GP. Does it take another 2 weeks on a higher dose to feel an impact? All you hear are the negatives to taking sertraline and it is really disheartening.
