To prefer Goose to Maverick?

I watched Top Gun Maverick yesterday and decided to watch the original Too Gun this evening. I know Maverick is the heartthrob, but I would much rather have Goose

I'm watching top gun maverick right now and I don't know what it is about these movies but they're just feel good.

@scrufffy I agree, they just feel comforting and heartwarming despite the conflict. I'm trying so hard to not give anything away, but it was a really enjoyable film

Goose was always the best.

Also son of Goose but I’m way to old now so still prefer Goose.

I can't chose between them,ove both of them. Especially loved Anthony Edwards in ER as Dr Green. Took me ages to realise it was him in inventing Anna though. He hasn't aged quite as well as Tom Cruise.

When I watched top gun maverick I was transported to my 15 year old self!

Does anyone else remember seeing Anthony Edwards in another tv series? It's going to be vague, but I think there was some hidden icy nazi hideout and he was a scientist. I'm starting to think I imagined it!
