Thought this was interesting. It’s not the first time I’ve noticed it but it’s the first time I’ve seen it that I could get ‘proof’.

so there was a thread a few days ago about a toy left in a Travelodge at Heathrow and they wouldn’t post it to the OP but in the end her friend picked it up.

Today I was on a Disney forum and went on the community board and, lo and behold, there was the same thread. Slightly adjusted, different hotel and posed a day after the mumsnet thread.

Not really fair on the hotels I think.

That's is very odd! Almost identical wording...

Well spotted OP, that's really bizarre. Confused

This is quite common I think. A lot of the time it’s bots scraping one site for content that ends up posted on another, purely for page views/clicks.

I've seen threads on here that were lifted from other forums, and vice versa. Just details changed to suit the forum.

I swear there was also a thread yesterday about a kid naming their teddy "Portofino", wasn't there?

That might make sense. The poster on the Disboards thread just joined yesterday.

Yes! Deleted for breaking talk guidelines. This is coming full circle now Shock How strange.
