god, i have to say i think they are so funny. there are some very clever people on here who are very quick minded.

the question i put to you is...

if everyone on mn had a fight, who would win and why?

when it comes to debate, i'm scared of MT.

as for bullying and cliques.

well, i suppose my definition is shaped by my own experiences in school. bad, let's just say. in middle school, at least. because of my race.

and what i've seen happen to my dad.

people calling him a half-breed, asking my sister if she spoke English when she was a respected journalist with her own column in a newspaper with a 2m+ circulation, all sorts of things.

and my DH, he wound up in an SN school after too many beatings in the school yard.

and some of my friends' experience of real cyberbullying, including a Mormon friend whose daughter got many hate messages on Bebo about her religion.

i dunno, i guess my definition's got watered down over time.

i know i did with sophable at least. she and i disagree on some things and agree on others.

but i don't begrudge her her blessings in life.

Online rucking hasn't changed since I started doing it 11 years ago - elsewhere - although the fashionable thing then in some corners was to say people were racist when they weren't being and now it's that they're bullying.

I maintain that there are few real cases of actual bullying on here and much in the way of likeminded people posting at the same time.

Actually one of the more annoying things I have found on here is the converse of the person-you-fought-with-suddenly-being-nice - ie someone who is on your side in a good vigorous mashup debate suddenly coming out with something so utterly witless that you are yelling at the screen ' stop helping me!'.
